I'm a moon dancing in circles around you
Close, but not too close to touch you
Far, but not too far to forget you
Spinning around lies that never went through
With a passing day and a gleaming night
The largest field between us grew
Space that gave us reason and clarity
But it was nothing but a field of gravity
Pulling us toward each other
Like an unborn child attached to his mother
With a fleeting minute and a beaming hour
My lips wanted you to devour
Jupiter aligning followed by Saturn
Mercury was next and then it was your turn
To line with me in a solar dance
With no thoughts, just leave it to chance
Stare me in the eyes, don't take a glance
For with no tragedy there's no romance
And the flames of a thousand stars flicker
And your hands in mine grow slicker
And a grasp of you is merely a glow
Of an image of you fading so slow
And with one last ethereal blow
The last lights of the last candles withdraw
Leaving me ever so sicker
Sending my mind to an eternal trance.
