You let me go without any thoughts
To be forgotten was what I meant
Why did you confront me
Why did you not lie to me instead
My hurt meant nothing
It doubled my fears
For Adonis's blood
And Aphrodite's tears
Turned white roses red
Wish our fingers didn't touch
And our lips didn't speak
Of what we've been hiding
Along the bank of a creak
Our minds were abiding
But our hearts were weak
No Venus was needed
Or her magic to leak
To let me know
what we bestow
Of what was left
From the massive blow
That lead to the flow
Of what your mouth held theft
From vines in ruins and a rising sun
The banquet of noon and the click of a gun
We lose each other
No where to run
For life itself wanted none
Of what we tailored as the sewing wheel spun.
