Through shades of amber and gold
I will recite what was never told
Tales of pioneers
Their souls have sold
With motives that are said to be bold
Tales of the young
Wishing to grow old
But how old is old to be old?
In layers of their hearts
Secrets they fold
Split life into parts
There's only much to withhold
