Earth turns slowly As time stands still
When you're looking lowly and standing at the sill
Of a window to your room
And a window to your heart
For you lay it bare
Wait it to be ripped apart
Sit there and stare
At how the shadows loom
Shadows of lost people
And shadows of lost memories
Walking around a few levels deep
The edge of your thoughts
Ever so steep
A few drops of hope
In your heart sleep
Waiting that moment
When all the lies wake
And truths break
And every mistake
And breath you take
Pools down a lake
Of all the torment
And the nights we spent
Lying awake
Lying to you
Poking a dent
With every word
And every kiss
Of us you rake
