Loki's Pov:

Words. So many all stuffed into one book. Odd, isn't it?

Love. Life. Lover. Wife. Fiancé. Husband.

But, most of all important for the time being: father.

My love, I'll be at your side soon. I think to myself.

But, I cannot help but think, isn't it too early for a child? I thought Darcy still had another few weeks or so?

Apparently not.

I cannot imagine the pain she must be going through...

I race through the halls. Must get to her, must get to her.

I hear various swears and curse words coming from a large room down the hall. Yep, that's her.

I bang on the door when a nurse opens it, looking tired.

"I am sorry my prince, but it'd be best to wait-"

"But she's my wife-to-be!" I shout angrily.

"I think it'd be best to wait. It's not a very pretty sight in there, I hope you know." The healer says, then turns on her heel and closes the door.

Great. Just my luck.

~Ten Hours Later~

The door opens and I quietly merge through. Darcy lays on a bed, bags under her eyes.

The poor girl, I can't imagine the pain.

I walk over to her, being as quiet as I can, thus she is holding a sleeping child. Our sleeping child.

"Hey!" Darcy excitably whispers. I can't help but smile and say "hey" in return.

"How are you feeling?" I ask after a few moments.

"Enh. Been better." She says tiredly.

"I bet it was painful...I'm still surprised you went this early." I tell her.

"Yeah, me too. All of a sudden I feel a liquid down my leg and bam. Here's a baby!" She quietly says.

"It's a girl....By the way, Loki. Since we couldn't find out." She chuckles.

My baby girl. My princess.

"You wanna hold her?" Darcy asks. I nod my head, trying to hold back any fear of dropping her or something.

Once she's in my arms, I try to fight back any tears of happiness. But I fail horribly. As I sit there with Darcy, I can't help but take in our child's features.

I can see black hairs lengthening at the top of her head. I can see pink on the tip of her nose. But one thing comes across my sights a little too shockingly: she has a spot on her face that is almost deformed.

But, she is still my little girl. And I won't let anyone tease her or harm her for that matter of skin.

"You saw the spot too?" Darcy asks, curious.

I nod and gently run my thumb over the mark. She quickly jerks at that.

She oddly, however, instead of being premature or smaller, is actually a normal size child. It amazes me.

But one thought crosses both Darcy's and my mind: what shall she be called?
