Ezra's p.o.v.
I just got home from London and I plan on having a nice, relaxing day. If anyone disturbs me then they'll have to deal with an irritated King (which is not a pleasant one.)
"Are you ever pleasant to be around?"
"Ha. Ha. Very funny Zaire. I'm pretty sure 80% of the times, it's your fault."
"If it's my fault, then they deserve it."
"I can argue the same point on my side."
I head up the stairs towards my room, deep in conversation with my wolf. I just about reach the door when a small body runs into mine with a 'thump' sound. The wonderful smell of my mate fills my nose and my arms reach out to steady her, as if by instinct. They land on her waist and sparks shoot through me. I notice that she's wearing my hoodie and I smirk slightly. I have to say, I'm loving the idea of her being in my room and wearing my clothes.
"You okay there?" I whisper once she is steady again. She only nods her head and my smirk grows slightly. I make have this effect on her, my wolf is extremely happy about this.
I nod my head down at her. "That's my hoodie." She blushes and tries to hide her face but fails.
"I can take it off." She says her hands already moving to take it off. A growl escapes my lips and I move towards her to stop her, my hand on top of hers.
"Don't." I say lowly. "It looks good on you." For some reason I want others to see her wearing my clothes. I also have an idea that she has nothing else underneath and I don't want other males to see her like that. I can feel my wolf pushing forward just at the thought of it.
"I didn't know you were back." She says, her eyes searching my face. Then she looks away and mumbles softly. "Didn't even know you left either."
A brief flash of guilt washes over me but I quickly pushed it away. Remember what she is and what they did. I remind myself. I take a step back and drop my hands from around her. "What are you doing out of the cell?" I ask and wonder why I didn't ask sooner.
"Look Ezra, I know-" She was saying but I quickly cut her off once I realised it.
"How do you know my name? I never told-" I interrupt myself as the pieces click together. I groan and pinch the bridge of my nose. I'm going to kill her. "It was Lexi wasn't it? She let you out and told you." I say, rather than ask.
"Yeah." She says and looks down at the ground. I'm too irritated with Lexi at the moment to really care. I know she's my friend and all but I'm still the King.
"Lexi where the hell are you?" I ask through our link. She doesn't answer and that only frustrates me more. She better have a good excuse for ignoring me. And for doing what she did.
"Go back to mate. I want her in our arms again." My wolf whines in my head.
"I don't want to. And you can be damn irritating sometimes." I growl at him.
"You can't fight the mate bond forever. You need her just as much as she needs us."
"If you'll just let me reject her, then I won't have to fight the bond."
"No! I won't let you reject our mate, our one chance to be whole again. To actually be happy"
"She won't help us. She's a Lycan." I finally growl out, before blocking Zaire from my mind. I don't need to deal with him now too. I look back to find that Zaya is looking at me with a glint in her eyes and a smirk on her lips.
