Sorry this is late again, I did put a short post up on my blog explaining the delay. My Tumblr is now completely up-to-date with Out of the Coffin too, so come over and say hello (you can find the link on my blog).

Chapter Thirty

The Next Morning

Bella

Rose had been quiet since yesterday, her mind completely blocked off from me. She'd returned from whatever she'd been doing after a few hours and headed straight to her bedroom, muttering a quick 'hello' as she passed. I was trying to give her her space, but something was going on, and I didn't like it.

"I'm going out this morning, I'll probably be back in a few hours," she told me, grabbing her phone and shoving it into her pocket before she shot me a smile.

"Stay safe," I replied, watching her out the corner of my eye.

She headed for the door but paused. Turning around, she came towards me and wrapped me in a hug.

"I love you, B."

"I love you too, Rose," I told her, wrapping my arms around her and holding her tight. Something must have happened because her shield fell, only for a brief second but I was able to see into her mind. Images of Emmett flashed before my eyes, all of them apart from one fleeting. The one that stood out the most was Emmett and Rose wrapped in an embrace and kissing.

I bit back my gasp - I didn't want her to know that I knew.

We both pulled away, nervousness crossing Rose's face.

"I'll be back soon," she told me, squeezing my sides as she did. I nodded and with that, we parted ways. I watched from the window as she got in her truck, started the engine and drove away.

I put my hair up, with a baseball cap over it and then covered my face with sunglasses. I then waited thirty seconds before I followed her in my car.

I kept my distance as I drove behind her, always making sure that there were at least two cars between us.

When we got to Port Angeles I had a horrible feeling I knew where she was going. My suspicions were confirmed when she pulled into the parking lot of Fangtasia. I pulled over on the opposite side of the road and watched as she got out the truck, putting her hair into a ponytail before she entered the club.

I shook my head as I pulled my car next to hers and jumped out, hoping she wasn't making a huge mistake - whatever she was doing.

In a matter of mere seconds, I was opening the heavy front door.

I burst in, completely angry at Rose for hiding this from me, but also worried and wondering what the hell she was doing. I was shocked at what I saw.

In the middle of the room, Rose was stood there, arms crossed over her chest as she faced off with Emmett, Jessica and Aro. My mouth dropped open as I tried to work out what was happening.

"You didn't tell me they would both be here!" Aro exclaimed with delight. Rose turned to me with fear in her eyes as she rushed to my side.

"What are doing here?"

"What are you doing here?" I asked back, looking back at Emmett and Aro. Aro had a smile on his face whilst Emmett looked somewhere between panicked and pissed off.
