"Isolate"

The room was dead silent, with only the faint sound of everyone's soft breathing filling the oppressive atmosphere. Beside me, Connor had neatly folded his arms behind him, and was closely inspecting the scene in front of him.
There in the middle of the room, were two people, neither one speaking a word, which didn't quite help the atmosphere. Hank, the police Lieutenant, and then the deviant, otherwise known as the one who brought about the end of a man named Carlos Ortiz. Though, what use was saying Ortiz's name now? The cruel reality of this whole situation is that nobody would miss Ortiz, and that the isolated, drug-ridden man would most likely be forgotten. It wouldn't matter what he was called, or how he died.
Even so, it was naturally the job of those in the Detroit Police to seek justice, and secure safety, even if the one they were seeking justice for was yet another criminal. It almost didn't seem worth it.
After a few moments of dead, awkward silence passed, Gavin leaned back a bit in his chair, and Hank finally opened his mouth. Moving his hands as he spoke, the police Lieutenant leaned forwards and began the interrogation.
"Why'd you kill him?"
No response.
"What happened before you took that knife?"
No response.
"How long were ya in the attic?"
No response.
"Why didn't you even try to run away?"
No response.
Only silence.
They were all pretty generic questions, some that even I was interested in. Yet despite that, the android simply stared blankly at the table below him. It was obvious that the robot wasn't trying to test Hank's patience, but rather that he wouldn't speak at all, and Hank had easily found that out.
Snap snap.
Went Hank's fingers, right in front of the deviant's face, and yet there wasn't even a sliver of response, not even a blink. A look of annoyance quickly crossed Hank's face, followed by the action of him slamming his arms against the table. Both Gavin and I flinched backwards, only to swiftly attempt to regain our composure, yet both Connor and the deviant didn't even budge.
"Say something goddamnit!" He clamored, his scream bouncing off the grimy concrete walls.
No response.
"Fuck it, I'm outta here." He grumbled, pulling himself out of the chair and walking out, furiously hurling the door shut behind him. From outside, the stomping of his worn-out shoes echoed into my ears, and he walked inside to greet us, giving me a small scowl, which I returned with a smirk.
"We're wasting our time interrogating a fucking machine, we're getting nothing out of it!" Hank scathingly protested, plopping lazily into a chair with a clear view of the interrogation room. The android hadn't moved a single muscle after he'd left. Gavin, who was leaning on the side of the wall now, gave a resentful grin, and averted his gaze to the window.
