Hello everyone! I am so sorry for not being active for so long and promising this oneshot before the end of July and now its January... Oops. This request was a little challenging, and it took me awhile to think of the perfect plot for this, and I think I found it. It was requested by @Kitty18Katz who is super patient and creative!! I hope you like it!!

Warnings: very sad Chekov, violence, schizophrenic (I think) behaviors

P.s, do you guys prefer the titles or no?

Sweat beaded down my forehead as I ran as fast as I could through unfamiliar terrain. We were almost to the shuttle, the newly hostile aliens gaining on us quickly, as well as firing phaser-like guns in our direction.

"Y/n!" I shouted. "I'll fend them off, just get into the shuttle!"

"Are you sure?" She shouted back, leaping over cracks in the stony ground. "I should help you!"

"Just get the door open and I'll follow you in!"

We skirted a large rock formation and there it was. I had never been so happy to see a shuttle in my entire career. I flicked a quick glance at y/n, who gave a quick nod in return before I took a sharp turn around a boulder and pulled out my phaser. I only got a few shots in before a scream pierced the air.

Y/n had successfully opened the shuttle door, but was lying in a heap at the bottom of the ramp. In horror, I shot down a few hostiles to give me cover, and I dashed for our only hope of escape.

I tossed my phaser through the open door, and grabbed y/n's shoulders, heaving her through the entrance. A few shots clinked off the hull of the shuttle, attempting to find their targets, but I was quicker. I was able to shut the door and get in control of the vessel before they could do much harm to it.

As soon as I got the shuttle in orbit, I put it in autopilot and rushed to y/n's side.

"Hey.. hey it's okay," I said softly. "Just relax."

I knew she was shot in the abdomen, so I decided I would hike her dress up a bit on one side so I could treat the wound.

My eyes widened. Her blue dress was now stained purple on one side, her left arm red with her own blood. I tried to shift her dress as carefully as I could without hurting her, but even still, she let out little groans and winced a few times.

It was worse than I had thought. Way worse. The phaser hit was extremely powerful, making what looked like a very large bullethole.

"Oh my god, y/n..." I gasped, tears threatening my eyes. "I... I can fix this. I will fix this... I-"

"Pavel," Her hoarse whisper making my heart crack. "I'm not going to make it back to the ship."

"You will, I promise you will," a strangled sob wrestled it's way out of my throat. "I promise."

"You don't have to make promises you can't keep," She coughed, the spray slightly pink. "I love you, Pavel Chekov."

Tears streamed down my cheeks as I pressed my lips against hers. I could feel her trying to kiss back with all her strength, but she was weakening quickly. She pulled away abruptly and coughs wracked her body, blood trickling out the corner of her mouth.

"I love you too," I sobbed, pressing her into my chest. "Oh god, I love you so much."

I could feel her feeble arms wrapping around my neck, blood seeping into my golden shirt. But then suddenly, it was over.
