Embarrassed after your little outburst, you sauntered back down the hill to your crops and finished picking the berries and vegetables to prepare for your dinner. You tried to get Jim out of your head, but nothing worked. Even though you tried to stop the ideas that came to your imagination, the only thought there was what your reunion would be like.

Well I came home

He would land his shuttle just there in the fields.

Like a stone

He would rush down the hill, arms outstretched.

And I fell heavy into your arms

He would engulf you in a big hug, tears streaming down both your faces.

These days of dust

He would apologize to you for leaving you there for so long.

Which we've known

He would tell you how hard it was for him as well as you to be alone all these years.

Will blow away with this new sun

You would be happy now. Now that you're together again.

He would never want to be apart again.

You wanted so badly to be in his arms. You mindlessly sat down at your makeshift desk and pulled out some paper.

So break my step

You pulled out a pencil.

And relent

You slowly start sketching a familiar face.

You forgave and I won't forget

Memories. Happy memories flooded your mind of the Enterprise.

You remembered the day he asked you out.

Suddenly, you heard the sound of thrusters. You quickly turned the radio off, and the noise was louder. You hurried outside, and you saw what was probably the best, most wonderful sight you had ever seen with your eyes. (And you had seen the Grand Canyon)

It was a shuttlecraft. An USS Enterprise shuttlecraft. It landed where you thought it would, in the fields. The hatch started opening, and the second it reached three feet, a body rolled out and began running through the grass. Jim. It was Jim. Tears formed into your eyes, and you started running towards him. You met in the middle, and his arms wrapped right around you as he buried his face in your now-long hair. You were both sobbing, and he pulled back so you could properly see his face. He looked, older, more lines around his eyes, stubble. He also looked like he hadn't slept in weeks. He gripped your shoulder, as his tears slowly ebbed to a stop.

"You... you look older," he breathed. "But still beautiful."

You blushed, and pulled him in for another hug.

"Why?" You whispered, burying your face in his gold shirt.

"What?" He asked, pulling away a bit.

"W-why did you leave me here?" your voice wavered, and more tears threatened. "Why did you abandon me?"

"Oh, y/n," he murmured, sadly. "They didn't let me come back." You slowly looked up.

"They.. took my ship on my mad dash to return. I had to beg to come and get you."

"I forgive you," you said, smiling up at him. "I forgive you for making me stay in my own little version of hell."

His gaze moved towards your lips, and you leaned up to kiss him. It was soft and sweet, but lovely all the same. He frowned when you pulled away, but it melted back into a grin when you pecked his nose.

"Wanna see what I've been up to?"
