Chapter 21

Draco

"What?" She asked her eyes full of shock and her mouth slightly open, I had to get everything off my chest.

"Hermione, I have been in love with you for 6 years now. I have loved you since our first date to Hogsmead and you were so nervous we would be seen, but I honestly did not care. After all these years of not talking to you and then finally seeing you again in Diagon alley made my feelings for you so much stronger. I was stupid not to break up with Astoria that day, I was stupid to be scared of letting go of daily routine for 5 years. Hermione the day I broke up with Astoria Is the day you came to me on my break and told me you had a boyfriend. Every time after that we can never seem to get on the right page, and then Julia came along and I had no idea what I was thinking, but she made me open my eyes and say out loud that I have always been and always will be in love with you." I said, her mouth was closed, her eyes still wide. She had bit her lip and my heart dropped but I couldn't stop talking.

"You are the most beautiful person I know. You are so kind and so sweet. You're so brave, Hermione, braver than me, hell you defeated Voldemort and killed a bloody horcrux. You're an idol to many witches and wizards and you don't care what people think of you and I admire you so much. I love you. I wanted to tell you at the shop but I didn't think it would have been nice, I wanted to tell you in a romantic way but I couldn't find the way to-" Hermione threw her book on the table and came closer to me, pulling me by my shirt and kissed me.

Her soft, sweet lips were pressed against mine. Something I haven't felt in years and I finally felt complete. Her kiss was passionate, our lips moved in sync. She pulled away her hands still gripping the collar of my shirt and my hands now placed on her hips pulling her closer to me. The kiss left me breathless. She placed her head on mine and smiled.

"I love you." She breathed with a smile, a few tears falling from her beautiful eyes.  I wrapped my arms around her waist and kissed her again, her arms wrapped around my neck, her hands going through my hair. I pulled away and she grinned.

"So Granger, will you be my girlfriend now?" I asked and she laughed a bit.

"You already know the answer to that question Malfoy, why even ask?" She smirked, it was the same question I asked her the first time, and she gave me the same response. I smiled and she stood up from her spot and held out her hand for me to grab.

I grabbed her hand and we walked to her room. Hermione had gone to the bathroom to brush her teeth, and I had changed into my pajamas, she came out and took the shirt from my hand with a smirk, and changed in front of me. Usually she would change in her bathroom or in my bathroom and I did not mind this at all.

She smirked as she got into bed and I quickly followed and laid next to her. Usually when we slept together, we wouldn't sleep close together unless one of us had nightmares but tonight is different. Tonight she is my girlfriend, tonight she is finally the love of my life and i can finally tell her that.

For a moment I didn't care about anything but her, I would break my wand and live in the muggle world for her. I would do anything for her be anything for her, all she has to do is ask. She laid her head on my chest, my heart was racing and I could feel her smile against my bare chest.

"I can hear your heart." She said looking up at me from my chest making me smile.

"It's for you." i said, cringing at my own words, and her nose scrunched up.

"Come on, Malfoy, way to ruin it." She giggled a bit and placed her head back on my chest and I turned off the light. That night, we slept close together. It felt as if we were trying to become one.
