A Hero to Protect Me

Ben's POV: As the door closed I let out a breath that I didn't even know that I was holding walking back to my room, I couldn't believe how well the date had went. The next problem was introducing her to my parents. I knew that mother would be happy that I had broken up with Audrey, mother never really did like her. I slowly walked down the hall a feeling of accomplishment settling over me, in Syena's room I could hear squeals and giggles, smiling my head I continued toward my dorm. I really did love that daughter of the Sea Witch.

Syena's POV: Family day couldn't have come any quicker, Fairy Godmother had left us, Villain Kids, in a room to skype our parents. "Syena, have you got the Trident? I'm dying on this island, darling." My mother's voice came through the speaker, "I'm working on it." I muttered looking down, I really was avoiding the topic of whether I was actually going to take the Trident. "Well you better start working on it quicker darling, you don't want to keep me waiting now do you?" My mother asked as I shook my head 'no' before exiting the view of the camera, I still didn't know, and the Coronation was quickly approaching. I walked toward Ben's dorm, slowly raising a hand to knock on his door. The door slowly creaked open, a sleepy-eyed Ben looked down at me, "Hey Syena, what's wrong?" Ben asked quietly, suddenly awake, I shook my head before Ben opened the door more, "Want to come in? I was just in the middle of a nap, want to join me?" Ben requested, I looked around before nodding. Ben just smiled before closing the door behind him, he plopped down onto the bed and looked up, a lazy smile down on his face, giving in I fell into his arms as they circled around me protectively. "What's going on Syena?" Ben asked concerned as he continued to caress my hair, "It's just that... I guess I'm overwhelmed. Trying to be the perfect little villain for my mother, trying to be normal for Auradon, trying to open up, trying to not mess up my relationship with you, just trying to ... do everything!" I exclaimed, as Ben hushed me quietly. "I don't care if you mess up. It's normal for people to mess up, I'm not asking you to be perfect. To me you ARE perfect. And for your mother? She doesn't have the power to control your life anymore, I'm here to protect you. Okay?" Ben asked, I nodded before cuddling into Ben's chest. "Close your eyes, and when you wake up I'll be right here." I nodded before I let sleep over take me.
