Chapter 4

The sound grows loader around us, and I move closer to Joe at a lose of what to do.

"What is it" I whisper with my hand on his shoulder.

"I'm not sure it could be anything, maybe you should stay here and I'll go check it out." He Said placing his hand on mine.

I grab joes hand tighter, "no don't leave me!"

More rustling noise comes from within the trees, and then like a wave they show themselves one by one circling the land around us.

"Stay still don't make any sudden moves." Joe whispers to me.

'Pshh like I was really going anywhere' I thought to myself.

They looked like some kind of tribe all dressed in that older soft leather with the feathers in their hair. All of them had bows drawn towards us.

One straight in front of us steps forward. He looks older, strong , and tall, probably the chief. He says something in a language that I didn't understand.

I lean in to joe and whisper, " What do you think he said?"

Joe locked arms with me and started to walk forward saying, "he said to come out."

I looked at him wide eyed, and he gave me a shrug as if to say it was a long story.

Standing in front of the dark tanned man, joe starts to say something in the strange language. I just look at him astonished.

" He said this is their island they've been here for many years and have been undisturbed. They want to know why we've came?" Joe explains.

"Well tell them that the storm blew in we crashed the plane."

Joe turns and speaks to the man again. " He says we are welcome to stay in the village with them for now."

" Are you sure we can trust them?"

"I don't think we really have a choice it's either that or they shove us off the island for invasion and not cooperating." Joe says shrugging in their detection.

'Well this is an exciting vacation!' I think to myself.

" Okey we should introduce yourself." Joe suggested.

The group began to lead us through the woods, I stay as close as I can to joe. Even though I may not know joe super well there's something about him that just makes me feel like I can trust him, and that I truly am safe around him.
