Chapter 1- The New Bat

I stare at the computer refreshing my mind on the traumatic events that occurred in my life, my juvenile life so far.

With melancholy, my eyes gradually welled up with tears as I knew that I most likely can NEVER walk again. I know it has been a two years or so but it is unforgettable.

The tears splashed down on my rosy yet freckled cheeks as I hunched my shoulders.

"Hello Oracle," I quickly flick away my tears and spin around. "Hello Stephanie," I replied with my dark pink lips pursed together creating a thin line.

I look up to her and see that she has actually bothered taking my advice. I am touched. "Batgirl huh? seems like you have moved on from your other persona. Have you Spoiler?" I smirk pushing back my squared glasses.

"Hey! I at least took your advice! But I may have added a few changes if you don't mind," Stephanie added pulling her dark navy blue cowl over her bright blonde hair.

She had stuck with the suit Cassandra had used as her years as the skilled Batgirl.

"Anyway you were supposed to train me right?" I sighed. Yes, I still do train people although I'm on a wheelchair looking extremely helpless.

"Okay begin punching while I'll block then we will switch". She gave me an exaggerated nod that even her blonde hair was dangling from above her cowl.

I chuckled. I mean come on, I need to crack a smile once in a while.

Mmm... she is really good. She blocked every single punch of mine very easily with no hesitation.

"That should be it for today".

I ended the lesson turning away from her towards the computer as a warning lit up the screen flashing vigorously.

"There has been a major catastrophe at Arkham Asylum, more than 200 henchmen have escaped including all of Gotham City's dangerous criminals. The citizens will lie in jeopardy if nothing would be done to this situation". reported Vicki Vale as I see a flash of her fear in her baby blue eyes.

"I'm contacting everyone who is available now!" I reply with a shrilled yet deep voice which must have scared Stephanie. This is not good...not at all.

This is a scenario that certainly needs to be in control.
