It was awfully quiet in the Wayne Manor as Bruce adjusted his tie in preparation for his son's funeral.

Dick glanced at Bruce flicking off a tear from his eyes as Tim stood silently waiting for their departure.

"It is time"

Bruce said as his voice cracked.

A pair of rolling wheels moved behind him.

Barbara dressed in black.

Beautiful but soulless.

Her ravishing red hair cascaded down her shoulders as her sleek black dress cut at her shoulders.

She certainly didn't take Damien's absence well.

She broke down sobbing as her shoulders violently shook murmuring it is her fault from the beginning.

Still scarred, she leaded Bruce, Dick and Tim the way.

They walked down in the cobbled footpaths towards Damien's coffin.

A wreath filled with elegant flowers laid upon the polished wood coffin.

The light seeped through the leaves from the tree creating a ray of light like he was ascending to heaven.

Alfred waited upon their arrival as Stephanie stood underneath the tree with mixed emotions.

She never really got to know Damien well.

But he was still family to her.

They faced towards Damien's body as more silence took over.

Silent sobs and the dancing wind was heard.

The golden cross shined brightly against the sunlight as the funeral had ended.

"Master Bruce, if you may..."

Bruce nodded as Dick helped him carry the coffin into the six feet deep, pit.

A thud was heard as the covered it with soil placing a cross embroidered with flowers on the top.

Bruce left immediately followed by others into the Manor.

They awkwardly placed themselves at the couch as no one spoke of a word.

And they remained like that through the rest of the afternoon.

Evening was right around the corner.

And everyone but Bruce left the Manor.

But no one was ever going to get back to normal.

A huge loss.

A massive catastrophe.

That you can't even rewind time to make things right.

Once it was done, you can never revive it.

The mourning lasted for three days and yet, hasn't stopped.

Bruce was up longer at night starting to take vexation to absolutely anything.

Barbara and Dick had been spending time together much more often like Stephanie and Tim.

"Dick,"

She kept saying.

"It isn't your fault"

He looked at her with hurt still in his blue eyes.

"That is not what Bruce thinks, Babs" he sighed, as his shoulders slumped.
