Slowly, I opened the old classroom door. It creaked as it moved, causing pairs of eyeballs to look my way. I walked into the classroom and was greeted by a nice, wet spitball to the face. Laughter was heard from the students' seats.
The teacher held out his hand, expecting a tardy slip. Wiping the gooey substance off of my cheek, I handed it to him and went quietly to my doodle-covered school desk.Sitting down, I brushed my short, blackish-blue hair out of my face. In a lack of paper, I spent the rest of the hour drawing characters from Black Butler, my favorite anime, on my desk. Finally the bell rang. The next few hours went by, and in time the bell signaling the start of lunchtime sounded. I picked up my backpack and left.
I would not be going to the cafeteria, where the lunch monitors stalked around like prison guards and the students were inmates in a riot. Instead I headed to my locker. There I pulled on a grey hoodie and grabbed a bag of fried peas.
I was perhaps one of the least outgoing people at my school. I tended to stay quiet, almost never spoke, and I guess I struck people as strange. I spent my days watching anime, writing stories, and learning about the supernatural, which fascinated me very much.
I became interested in witchcraft and practiced numerous spells...Which caused rumors to fly about me and people became even warier about me than before. After grabbing the items from my locker, I headed outside, into the chilly, November air. I walked past the parking lot and approached a large oak tree. It was cold, but it didn't really bother me. Better shivering than sweating, as I sometimes say. I climbed up into the lowest fork of the tree and contentedly munched on fried peas. They were delicious! I grabbed a manga out of my backpack and began to read. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a lightning strike; thunder followed close by. That's kind of strange, I thought. It doesn't usually storm here this time of year. Hey, that rhymed!
Soon after this another boom of thunder startled me, causing me to drop my manga onto the ground a few meters below. "Shiznits." I started to climb down when suddenly I felt a strange sensation. By the time I realized my hair was standing on end it was much too late.
