~~~~Sorry for the extremely slow updates. Do forgive me.~~~~
I was dragged away by the other servants. "Oh darn, guys. Sorry, I sure am clumsy, aren't I? Good thing we have Sebastian, eh?" I said, and they agreed, Mey-Rin saying that she probably would have done the same. Seeing as I was of no further use, I went into the manor to do busywork until dinner was over. I presumed the rest of the meal had gone well, and met up with the servants again in the hall after it had ended. Baldo and Finny were carrying the large painting of the former head of the house out of the large front room, as they'd been instructed. "Need some help?" I asked. They shook their heads. "Nah, we'll be fine, miss." Suddenly the guest showed up looking very agitated. Almost as if he'd seen a ghost.
"Geaahahaaaa!" He yelled, falling down the stairs. I could tell his leg was broken. I almost felt sorry for him, but knowing he was such a scoundrel it wasn't easy to feel much sympathy for him. The sympathy level slightly increased, though, when I remembered what other things were in store for him. The servants stood back with kind of panicked faces as the man yelled, looking frantic and hysterical. He crawled toward a door. I attempted to remain nonchalant about the situation, and resumed my cleaning duties.
Faint sounds of misery could be heard from my room for the rest of the night.
A few days passed, with little activity. We servants stood around as Baldo examined a chewed-up cord, swearing. Once it had been repaired, we were tasked with the endeavor of exterminating mice. To this, however, I was not pleased. A mouse-lover, I found them quite adorable, even if they caused havoc.
As the servants thought up the most ridiculous ways to catch mice, Madame Red and Lau spoke with Ciel in the nearby billiard room. I figured I ought to go make some tea, not wanting to harm rodents or get in trouble for failing at it.
I returned and entered the room where the guests were at, serving the tea. While doing so I caught sight of one sketchy looking character...
〰〰Again, I apologize for the slow updates, and as well if this was a rather uneventful chapter...〰〰
