Living in the 1800's was even more difficult than I'd imagined it to be, even in a wealthy aristocrat's household. Not only did I face immense culture shock and the horrors of unsanitary utilities; I was surrounded by anime characters that were either extremely obnoxious or someone you absolutely did NOT want to piss off.

I had lied before about being "Very capable at household duties"---in fact, I'd never washed a dish in my life. I was sure Sebastian had inferred this by the way he looked appalled when he witnessed me doing the chores. Still, he said nothing of it.

I was able to think more clearly of what had happened to me, now that the panic had subsided. I still had a bajillion and one questions, but I wasn't freaking out, and each day I came up with a new hypothesis as for how I'd ended up in such a place.

I had been staying and cleaning in the residence for a while when one day I heard the servants talking amongst themselves eagerly. Apparently we'd be having a guest today. I guessed I'd have to do a little extra since it was a special---Wait. A guest? As in the guest from the first episode, in which Sebastian's Legendary Tablecloth Trick takes place? I had to witness this historic moment!

Before doing anything rash, I  stopped myself suddenly. If I meddled in the lives of the anime characters too much, I might greatly change the plot and outcome of the anime. I might somehow completely screw everything up by doing the wrong thing at a crucial time in the anime. Or by doing anything at all. So, I concluded, I would just fade back into the background for today. And have a grand time watching the scenes that would play out before me.

After a while of idly scrubbing the stair rail, I heard a crash. Undoubtedly Mey-Rin, I thought, and continued on cheerily. Following soon after was the sound of a combusting blowtorch, and subsequently Finny's bawling could be heard, pleading for forgiveness. I walked towards the commotion in the hallway and peeked around the corner to see Sebastian obtaining the little cup-thing from Tanaka. "We shall make do with this." He proclaimed with authority.

As I was inexperienced and pretty useless, I figured he probably had enough servants than he needed and kind of avoided everyone for awhile, doing small chores and waiting for the guest to arrive. Suddenly Sebastian appeared around the corner as I was walking, and I slammed into him. "Waaah!" As I fell he caught me. "Oh dear, do watch where you are going."

"Watch where you're standing." I replied.

He continued on. "We will be having a guest this evening, so do try your best to be presentable and welcoming." I stepped back, saying, "Certainly, of course, alrighty, yes indeedy!" And doing a thumbs up. Hearing a car drive up, everyone rushed to the door to look inviting.
