daniel unlocked the bathroom, making his way out to the living room where his parents, two older brothers and younger sister sat, staring at the ground.
"how?" daniel asked in a whisper, staring at his family. his heart was shattered. his eyes were red and his cheeks were puffy. his voice was hoarse. his hands were trembling. he was struggling to breathe normally. he was completely, utterly, broken.
his mom rushed up to her young boy, standing there, her hands gently placed on his shoulders. her brown orbs staring directly into his blue ones.
"sweetie, she did it for a reason. she wanted a new life-" daniel dipped from his mother's grip. "that's not what I asked." he whispered louder, his blue orbs tearing up with sadness and anger.
"she left without a trace mom. how the hell did she leave so easily? how did no one notice her pain? how didn't I notice?!" he collapsed into his mother's arms. she gently moved him to the couch where his family comforted him while he cried his eyes out to the girl he loved.
