This is Ryo, he is about to attend his first day of Kuoh Academy. He didn't want to but decided he might learn something new, even though he learned a lot while traveling all over the world. And, he thought it could be interesting

It worked, but turned them into an entirely new species. He learned that ghouls can now use their wings a something helpful in combat which he called kagunes. This allows for their body to be strengthened, they are more resilient, and their mobility increases. Also there eyes iris turns red and the sclera turns black, which he calls kakugan. This allows for the the ghouls to learn quicker and read others emotions. Also, the body was so strengthened that it needed a holy sword, kusanagi, kagune or light energy to penertrate them. This was such a success that he implanted more and more people with this and made it airborn. This had ghoul numbers reach that of pre-war devils. however one thing caused them to be feared. There hunger. A ghoul wasn't able to eat anything other than human and drink nothing other than coffee. Ghouls would go around eating humans, devils, angels, and fallen angels alike. The original God and Satan ordered for all ghouls to be exterminated. Soon after, less than one thousand ghouls remained, scared to do anything. When the war started, the ghouls sided with the anti-satan team and fought in the war. however this caused the population to decrease to only a few hundred. Years later, Ryo's brother killed every single ghoul alive to make robotic soldiers out of them. The only ghoul left is now Ryo, who hides his energy to make sure no one would sense his magic energy, which is as high as Ophis(when Ophis was more powerful than the four great Satans. If not, then she was). Luckly for him, the original God erased everyones memories of ghouls. the only who knew they still exist are Ryo.
