"Hey listen up everybody, I need to introduce a new face to you" Chief Detective Jay Roberts called.
All the three detectives in the special crimes unit of Texas central police station looked up. Staring at them is a very handsome and well built man standing with the Chief Detective.
"This will be the new Chief Investigator of the special crimes unit....."
Chief Detective Jay paused.
"His name is George Washington.... I would like you to cooperate with him.
Detective George introduce yourself" said Chief Detective Jay.
George cleared his voice.
"Hello I'm George Washington your new Chief investigator as the Chief Detective as rightly said.
Please introduce yourself for formalities" George continued.
"I'm Detective Claire Spencer" A red haired black female said raising her right arm.
"Hello I'm Detective Zack Brawford" A young man with blonde hair said also raising his right arm.
"Hi I'm Detective Dray Thomas " A bald slightly older man said also raising his right arm.
He looked familiar.
Where have I seen him. George thought in his head.
"Nice to meet you too all of you......huh I'm hoping we all get along and we can only do that if we all do our jobs and duties diligently..... Understood?" George asked.
"Yes sir" The three detectives answered together.
Chief Detective Jay faced Detective Zack
"Where the hell is his assistant?"
"She's out sir"
"Doing what?......." Chief Detective Jay asked directing the question to nobody in particular.
"Anyway tell her to see me if she's back....Detective George meet me in my office"

"Sit down" Chief detective Jay said to George after entering his office.
"So George you need to follow this station's rules and you must report to me too"
"Yes sir...I'll not......"
A knock on the door interrupts George
"Yes come in"
A beautiful black haired lady entered.
"Yes sir.....you asked for me" she said indicating it like a question
"Hum yes......" Chief Detective Jay answered
"I would like you to meet your new superior.... Detective George" Chief Detective Jay said pointing to George.
George stood from his seat and turned around to shake her.
"Hi I'm Lara Roberts" She said streching out her arm to meet George's handshake but George paused looking at Jay and then turning his gaze back to Lara confused.
"Oh yes she's my daughter" Chief Detective Jay said smiling.
"Ohh......nice to meet you Lara"
George said finally meeting Lara's hand with his looking into her dark blue eyes.
Then there was an awkward staring moment between both of them.
Regaining his composure
"Hum......I hope we can get along with work very well" George said
"I...huh.. hope so too" Lara murmured awkwardly.
"Ok both of you can leave my office"
"Ok sir" George and Lara said in unison.

Lara's pov
I went to the roof of the police station which is her usual relax spot. I'm just 26 years old and I graduated from Harvard University. I have always wanted to be a detective just like my father.
But now I don't anymore not because I'm tired of the job but because I am now attracted to my boss, my superior. If my dad finds out, he would kill me. I have had few dates but none of them measured up to George. Since I saw him in my dad's office I have been terribly attracted to him. I was still deep in thought when I heard the door of the rooftop open. I turned to look at who opened the door. I saw George close the door and then my heart started pounding erratically.
"Lara what are you doing here?"
"Just thinking" I barely managed to hide her nervousness.
"About what.......me?" George said smirking and moving towards me.
"God what's wrong with him" I said in my head
"What about you" I answered moving back.
"Why would i think about you?" I questioned nervously but firmly not trying to look afraid.
George smirked again
Now i start to move back again because he is still moving towards me.
"Because I think you are attracted to me"
George said few inches from my face as my back hits the wall.
"Why do you.........." Then his lips met mine to swallow my remaining words, and surprisingly, all I could do was kiss back.
Then he bit my lips softly with his teeth, surprised I opened my mouth but he took the opportunity to slide his tongue in my mouth. I was enjoying the sensation as I met his tongue with mine.
Suddenly I jerked out from my sleep .
"Its just a dream" sighing somewhat disappointed. I looked around and saw that the rooftop was empty.
"Whats happening to me.....Lara focus he is your boss goddammit" I said disgustingly at myself.
As I rose up to go, I sighed tiredly knowing this job would become a lot harder than before.
