Lara's pov

I was walking on an unknown street.
Where am I?
Then I saw a boy in front of a house I've never seen before.

"Angel let's go to the park to play"
A boy said smiling.

The little girl that was called the name became visible.

"Ok.....lets go" They held their hands while smiling at themselves. They went down the road until I can't see them again. I tried following them but my leg was stocked.

I was very afraid now that I started screaming.

"Hellllllpppp meeeee"
The street was empty. But I shouted louder.
"Hellllppp meeeeee"

The alarm clock woke me. Frustrated I reached beside my bed to turn it off. The alarm clock wakes me up by 6am.

I stood from my bed. I went to the bathroom to wash my face. I looked at the mirror.

"What type of dream was that"
I said remembering the faces of the beautiful girl called angel and the handsome boy.

While I was thinking about them, I couldn't help but wonder about my childhood.

I couldn't remember anything till when I was ten years old. My first memory was when my dad, mom and me went on a picnic.

I've asked my parent about it but they said there is a possibility that it happens, that kids can lose their early memories. But I knew in my mind that it was not possible.

But I knew that someday the memories would come.

That I couldn't see any pictures of me being a child makes the situation worse. My parents had said that our former house got caught in fire so all the pictures were burnt.

I came back to my room and I checked the time, seeing that it was still three in the morning. I laid back on my bed thinking about my investigation on George's tragedy.

After I left that bar, I went back to the library to continue checking the newspapers. But I didn't find the news. I stopped checking when I reached month August because I was tired and very hungry.

I'm going back there after work today.

Then George enveloped my thoughts till my darkness overwhelmed me.

George's pov

I sat in front of my laptop doing what I've been doing for years now.

That night I had saw a mark on the wrists of the man that dragged I and my sister out of my room. I had studied the mark intently then. After the incident I had sketched it in a piece of paper.

I had reached many places with the mark but people couldn't recognize it. I had searched the whole of web to find it but it was all bootless.

Now I'm a senior detective now. So I have access to the criminal records in whole of texas.

But I had been checking the whole night. Even though there were thousands of records of criminals I had not found even one person with that mark.

I kept strolling. Now I had reached the three thousandth record and there are still thousands of records to check.

"Huggghhh........" I slammed my laptop shut frustrated.

Then my biggest fear came tugging into my mind again.

Mom....Dad.....Tina.....am I ever going to catch those who did this to us.
Am I ever going to.......
I bursted into tears.

"George"
I flinched at the sound of that voice. I would recognise it even in thousand years to come.

I stood from where am sitting and I turned to the direction the voice was coming from.

She had not changed. She still had the clothes she was wearing that night on.
I moved closer to her so I could touch her.

"Tina.......I've missed the hell out of you....just tell me you're not leaving again" I said still moving closer to her.

"Say something....." I said softly hoping she could hear me.

I've reached her now. I realized there were still blood on her clothes. I looked at her eyes and it was still the same. I realized how much I missed looking at those eyes.

"I'm sorry Tina.....I'm soo sorry.... I couldn't protect you guys......I was damn useless that night" Tears were flowing freely from my eyes now.

Then she smiled. The smile I had missed, hope I would see again. The smile that had remained on my mind, in my heart since that night.

"It's not your fault George....it's not"

I stretched out my hand to touch her face. But she was gone. All I could touch was air.

I cried louder as I sank to the ground.
"Tina.....Tina please don't go.......please come back"

I kept shouting until I drifted off to sleep at that place.
