Chapter 11
Falon's P.O.V.
'Kyle Mischiek is gonna meet my family. OH MY GOD!' was all I could think on the way home. I hope they like him. I hope he likes them. I hope they don't ruin this for me. They probably thought I was joking when I asked if I could bring Kyle home with me. Man, are they ever gonna have a shock.
My phone started ringing. "C.j. can you answer that?"
"Sure," she says "it's Kendra"
"Tell her i'm driving and that i'll call her back."
"She's driving, she'll call you back" she says into the phone "okay, bye" She hangs up the phone and puts it back into my bag. An hour later we pull into my driveway, with Kyle right behind us. We grab our stuff and wait for Kyle. We all walk inside.
"We're home" I yell. John Angus and Aleck Brogen run up us. Behind them is my Dad, Julie, Colby and Dylan. "Everyone, this is Kyle, Kyle, this is everyone."
"Nice to meet you all" He smiles.
"Didn't believe me?" I asked.
"No, we didn't. Hi, i'm Julie, Falon's stepmom and C.j's mom-mom. This is Falon's father Dwayne. Her brother Colby and her stepbrother Dylan." He shakes everyones hand.
"And who are these cuties?" He asks petting my dogs.
"The big one is John Angus and little one over there is Aleck Brogen. But we just call him Aleck." I go put my stuff away and show Kyle to his room then give him a tour of the house. "And this is our pool." I finish.
"You think it's warm?" He asks.
"Uhh, I don't know, why?"
"This is why." He picks me up and runs to the edge of the pool.
"KYLE! PUT ME DOWN!" I scream. He puts me down but doesn't let me go. He pulls me closer and looks into my eyes. He starts to lean in but Dad comes running out.
"What happened?" He asks.
"Kyle pretended to throw me in the pool. It's okay." I tell him.
"Okay, I was just worried." He said. I knew exactly why.
"Dad, i'm fine." I assure him.
"I know, but..." he must have known I didn't tell Kyle yet because the next thing he said was "nevermind." Then he walked back into the house.
"Is there something you're not telling me?" Kyle asks.
"Well, uhh... yeah, there is one thing."
"What is it?" He asks. I really didn't want to tell him. But I know i'd have to tell him sooner or later. I'd rather later but he should know the truth now.
"I have cancer."
