Chapter 22
C.J's P.O.V.
God, Falon's been having such a hard time. I'm glad she has Kyle. I never liked Jan, but I never thought he would hit her. But atleast he's never coming back around here. I wish I could comfort her today, but I have to babysit. I should be leaving soon. "C.J" I hear my grandma yell.
"Coming" I yell, I grab my bag and run upstairs. I slip on my shoes and walk out to the car. We drive for a few minutes then pull into the driveway. "I'm here" I yell. Katie runs up to me.
"Alex and Ashley aren't here, they both went to friends houses."
"Okay, where's aunt Mandy?" I ask petting Henry.
"She's in the bathroom. she'll be out in a minute" Katie tells me. We walk into the living room, Henry following behind us. Soon after, Mandy walks in.
"I'm late for work, so I gotta run. You know where everything is, i'll see you guys later." She says running out the door.
"So what do you wanna do today?" I ask Katie.
"Well it's nice out, let's go for a walk." She says.
"Then we can go to Dwayne's house for a swim." I say. She gets her stuff ready, locks the door then we start walking. We get there in about an hour. "Mom, me and Katie are going for a swim" I yell. We put our bags on the hooks and walk out to the pool. I jump straight in. It's 30 degrees. After a few minutes Katie gets in. After swimming for about 15 minutes, Falon and Kyle walk out. Falon is in a baTHING SUIT! Shes actually coming swimming! Oh my god. She has shorts on but still, shes coming swimming. I haven't seen her swimming in like a year.
Katie leans over to me and whispers "Shes actually coming swimming?" I nod, still shocked. The 4 of us swim for a couple hours then we get our and have something to eat. Dwayne made hotdogs and fries. After we finished eating, I check the time, Mandy is gonna be home soon.
"Falon, can you drive us to Mandy's?"
"Yeah, just one minute." She tells me. She gets her keys, while me and Katie grab our stuff and we get in the car.
"Mandy is gonna be here soon, do you wanna just wait?"
"Yep" she says petting Henry. But like usual, he bites her. "OW!"
"Henry!" I yell. He just walks away. God he's bad. The 3 of us talk for a little bit until Mandy shows up. Me and Falon say bye then drive to her house. "How are you feeling?" I ask her.
"Better, I feel safe with Kyle." she pauses "If Kyle wouldn't have been there, I probably wouldn't be here right now." She says, causing me to not know what to say. We pull into the driveway then decide to go swimming again. We throw some glow sticks in the pool. This night turned out a lot better then the other one.
