Chapter 26

I woke up feeling good. I grabbed my phone from the nightstand and I saw its already 5 am. I am slightly annoyed with my body clock. I was about to stand up when an arm around my waist stopped me. I looked behind and I saw Jeff snoring lightly. I smiled at his sleeping face and remembering the events that happened last night. My smile disappeared when I noticed him moved lightly and pulling me closer to him. I just moved some of his hair from his face.

"You know its bad to stare at people who are sleeping." Jeff said in a husky voice and I just frowned at him.

"I'm not staring at you." I said in defense and he just laughed and hugged me tightly.

"Why did you wake up at 5am again?" He asked and I just shrugged.

"Could you let go for a minute, I need to change and grab the dogs  for their morning walk." I said as I tried moving his arm that was around me but he just stayed still.

"It's way too early for the dogs" He asked and I just frowned at him.

"No its not. They're used to it." I said and I looked at him with puppy eyes as he just lowly groaned and loosen up his arms around my waist. I just looked at him and I slowly lean forward to him and he closed his eyes but I slowly backed up and creeped to the bathroom. Once I closed the door behind me I heard him groaned again and I lowly giggled to myself.

I did my usual morning routine and after dressing up I put on some mascara and some nude pink lipstick. I went outside the bathroom and I saw no one was there. I sat near Coco's bed and she licked my palm and I carried her. I grabbed my phone and both me and Coco went downstairs. I was startled when Max and Toulouse went up to me. I put Coco down at the couch as I walked into a room full of their necessities and grabbed Max's leash. I walked out of the room as I entered the living room I saw Jeff by the end of the stairs looking at me. I just ignored him in purpose and went up to Max and put his leash on and I grab it tightly.

"I thought you were going back to sleep." I said as I looked at him.

"Nah. I don't want you being alone there walking the three dogs outside all alone." Jeff replied and I smiled at him.

"You know I'm not all alone. I've got these three to keep me company. "I said and he just walked up to me and he picked up Coco and carried it on his left hand as his right arm wrapped loosely around my waist.

"I just want to know that you are safe , so I'm coming with you." He said and I just nodded.

"Let's just write them a note that we will walk the dogs. " I said and he offered to write the letter and he grabbed a piece of paper and write a note for the others while carrying Coco with him. He put it on the fridge and he walked up to me. Then both of us walked towards the door, I grabbed my car keys and my house keys. I locked the door behind us and we went to the beach. I am very happy to see my dogs again especially having Jeff to walked them with me. Seeing him playing with Coco makes my heart fluttered. I am glad that my dogs loved him.
