The spotlight is on her,
Her heart is beating fast,
All eyes focused as she walked,
The day had come at last.
Her smile's the ray of sun,
Shining on everyone,
Her finger is now waiting,
To wear that golden ring.
The angels do acclaim,
And people do the same,
A man is waiting for her,
To vow, "I do" forever.
Both of them are candles,
Lit by a single light,
Love and Care in a bundle,
Will make their world so bright.
The vow made them as one,
All inhibitions gone,
The chains bind them eternal,
Made jealousy a null.
The universe rejoice,
And Earth and Sky make noise,
For Romeo and Juliet,
A happy end they met.
And "You may kiss the bride,"
Was spoken of the priest,
And as they stood side by side,
Slowly, their worlds collide.
Their eyes met with a spark,
And everyone held breath,
Silence's hair-splitting bark,
Shooed away Mr. Death.
Their lips--inches away,
And then she closed her eyes,
What a lucky month of May,
To have a life with spice.
And just as their lips touched,
Reality just clutched,
And took her off from her dream--
A perfect place, it seemed.
There she sat on a rock,
Looking at the sunset,
Thought destiny loved to mock,
And give her all these bullshit.
Then, she smiled so awkward,
To the one beside her,
She hadn't said a single word,
Until her dream-turned-nightmare.
Then she said, "I love you,"
As cold as she could say,
She ain't want no reply, that's true,
She got it anyway.
Then she caressed the cheeks,
Then she was feeling weak,
As she touched the coal-black hair,
Of her present mare.
Then the two pink lovebirds,
Kissed for a little span,
For a guy is what she preferred,
Though they quote her lesbian.
Though Adam has his Steve,
And Madam has her Eve,
She still wanted a husband,
To savor him firsthand.
She'll be a slave for him,
Please him until sunrise,
Bring him to a rapture's brim,
And enjoy lust's demise.
But, now, her lover waits,
In the realm of realness,
Secretly, she asked the Fates,
To ease her loneliness.
For she is now taken,
And yet, still is single.
Silently. Secretly.
Tingle. Jingle. Mingle.
