RAIN

Rain! Rain! Stay at bay,

For I have something yet to say.

Grumbling clouds of blackwhite hue,

Claim the angels' rendezvous,

Blanketing Gaea in her sleep,

And bathing us with God's kind weeps.

The Earth cools down from Apollo's sun,

And rests tonight from the endless run.

Oh, Rain! You calmed Flora and Fauna down,

You've washed away the mountains' potent frown.

Rain! Rain! Go away!

Come again when we're okay!

But like a still enemy,

You've turned on us silently,

And with your breath you root out trees,

And scarred the lives of families,

Damn, you remind me of him so true,

How my love he failed, destroyed, and threw,

How he made me look like a fool, a clown,

And abandoned me in my tears to drown.

Rain! Rain! Help me please!

Bring my heart and mind some peace!

Rain is good for they hide tears,

Serve as plug for others' ears,

For my sob cries my love for you,

Which you did all but love me true.

I soak myself in the cold wet night,

My head on my knees; my wrath, I fight,

For I can't stay mad if I still love you,

I'll just cry and cry until all is through.

Rain! Rain! I still hope,

That in this mess, still, I can cope.

Rain is either friend or foe,

But like others, they come, they go.

And for one thing I know for sure,

I'll find someday my heart's right cure.

For the sun always shines after rain,

To show there are good things after pain.

They will give us life; they will give us hope,

When all you want is, in your neck, a rope.

Rain! Rain! Now, go, see,

And heal the hearts of girls like me!
