Reader's POV
Once lunch was finished, the four of us headed to our classes. Masamune had a slight smirk on his face, Aki tried to pretend nothing happened while Yoshino was staring at me and Masamune. I was checking the time on my phone.

Aki: wait a minute... You! (YN)(LN)!

I diverted my eyes from my phone and turned to Aki, who was pointing at me with a glare.

(YN): Hm?
Aki: You're the boy who told me off earlier today! Do you have any idea who I am?! I could-
(YN): Do what? Complain to your mommy and daddy that some nobody wasnt willing to tell you where to find the guy who complimented you?

Aki just stared at me with a slightly shocked face as I once again told her off.

Masamune: woah-
Aki: S-SHUT IT!
Yoshino: um...a-aki-
Aki: Quiet Yoshino. Anyway, I'll have you know that I'm the TOP student of my class-
Yoshino: So is he... I-I think his average grade his higher than yours actually...

Aki's eyes widen slightly and she turns to Yoshino with some shock

Aki: W-What?! Let me see that!

Yoshino nodded and handed her phone to Aki. As Aki analyzed her phone and her eyes widened as she saw the results.

Aki: you..y-you... HOW?!
Masamune: That was RIGHT in my ear

The next day of school, Masamune felt more confident around Aki Adagaki. He would always try to swoon her over...too no result. Now we were in PE and while Kojuro passed the volley ball to me, Masamune was looking at Aki Adagaki, who was in class doing her work. She turned to him and he smiled until she wrote a note saying "Kneel". I felt my brow twitch in irritation as Masamune fought off a glare.

(YN): Aye Masamune! Catch!
Masamune: wait whAH!

Before he could react, he was hit in the head with the volley ball and knocked to the ground. I gasped and ran over to him and tried to help him up.

(YN): Sorry!
Masamune: Nah, it's fine. I should pay more attention

I sigh and shake my head as I help him up. He holds his head and winces. I look at my feet and sigh as I kick a pebble...

(YN in his head): c'mon...trying to be his friend and get him to forgive you and you just hit him with a ball...?...I'm the worst...
Kojuro: (YN)?
(YN in his head): how do you expect him to forgive you if you just hurt him all the time? You can't just force him to forgive me...
Kojuro: (YN)?

I shake my head and turn to Kojuro and Masamune, who both looked at me with slight concern.

(YN): um...
Kojuro: I wanted to know if you would mind hanging out with me and Masamune after school
(YN): oh...um.. Sure!

Aki's POV
Class ended and after what felt like an hour of walking home, I suddenly clenched my stomach as it rumbled loudly, blushing in embarrassment as Yoshino turned to me slightly.

Yoshino: Are you okay?
Aki: N-NO I'M NOT OKAY! GO GET ME SOMETHING TO EAT BEFORE I PASS OUT!!
Yoshino: What would you like?-
Aki: I DON'T CARE! JUST GET SOMETHING AND MAKE IT SNAPPY!!

Yoshino nodded and turned around, running towards one of the many stores. Sighing, I sat on a bench and continued too look for more information on (YN). Again, I got blanks and only more questions. Sighing, I give up my search and decide to work off what I had now.

Aki: ugh. Where is she?! I'm going to die of hunger if she doesn't hurry up!
???: Oh? Were you looking for information on (YN)?

Startled, I get off the bench and see... Akio Tanabae.

Aki: Well, If it isn't the pudding prince-
Tanabae: SHUT UP!

I tensed up and took a step back.

Aki: Why? It's such a fitting name-
Tanabae: If you wanna talk about fitting, How about you tell me why you're so interested in (YN)! Or even Masamune! Is it because they both look good?!
Aki: Looks have nothing to do with it!

Suddenly, he grabbed my hair and got out scissors, ready to cut it off.

Aki: N-NO! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!

I look up and see Masamune, holding the scissor blade in his hands.

Masamune: I-I knew this would happen...y-you're to r-ruthless...

Tanabae's eyes widen as he turns away, racing away.

(YN): are you okay?!

I turned over and saw (YN), Yoshino, and Kojuro, all running over.

Masamune: J-Just fine... Just s-some bandages and t-than im good...

I couldn't help but feel my gaze upon Masamune grow softer...his hands began to leak a deep, crimson liquid...
