The Missing Cat

Kojuro: Masamune! Over here!

After what I did last night, I decided to still go the water park in hopes of getting my mind off Neko.

I made my way to the group and saw Aki, Kojuro, Yoshino, (YN), and Futaba.

Futaba: what took you so long? We've been waiting on you and Neko for... I don't even know how long anymore.
Masamune: Sorry. I got caught up in somethin- Wait. Neko isn't here?
Futaba: No. But I am sure she will show up soon!

I nodded as Aki looked me in the eyes, seemingly upset. I sighed and rubbed my eyes. Aki moved my hand away and cupped my cheek, turning my head as she kept her irritated expression.

Aki: What did you do? Why didn't you get any sleep last night?
Masamune: I was busy.
Aki: Busy or not, you better be getting better sleep mister!
(YN): Here I am thinking you hated his guts.

(YN) walked between us and smiled with a quiet chuckle.

(YN): Now look at you. Worried for his wellbeing.
Aki: I-I have no idea what you're talking about!
Kojuro: Huh. I wonder what's up with Neko..

I only sighed and rubbed my eyes. I have no idea how I was supposed to face Neko after... last night.

Futaba: Oh.. Well, apparently Neko just canceled.
Kojuro: Wait, What?
Futaba: She just texted me that she isn't feeling well. To bad..
Kojuro: Man.. I wanted to see her.
Futaba: Yea. But c'mon. Lets get going.
(YN): You all go ahead. I gotta ask Masamune something.
Aki: Like what?
(YN): Don't worry to much, Aki. It's guy stuff.

Before Aki could give a response, Yoshino dragged her along with Futaba and Kojuro. (YN) then turned to me and placed a hand to my shoulder, getting my attention.

(YN): What happened?
Masamune: What do you mean?
(YN): I know you. Only something important and devastating could keep you from getting your "beauty sleep" as you call it. What happened?
Masamune: I... I just did something I would rather not say.. I'm sorry.
(YN):...alright. you know I want to help if I can, right?
Masamune: Right.

(YN) paused for a moment but nodded slightly as he turned around to the others who were getting ready to enter.

We entered into the water park with them and Futaba immeidently dragged Kojuro to a water slide while Aki and Yoshino went to the lazy pool. Me and (YN) followed close behind and while we were going to get our flotation donuts, Aki gave me looks of worry and concern. Especially since I didn't really talk much or do anything of my own accord. I simply went along with whatever happened.
Even now she was looking at me with concern as I only ordered a drink while everyone else had some sort of meal.

After we finished eating, we all decided that it was best for us to head back to our homes to rest. Mainly for my sake. When we reached the exit, a black car came crushing past us and immediately stopped just ahead of us. The car door opened and...Neko's attendant came out of the car.

"Masamune Makabae!"

She jumped over the hood of her vehicle and grabbed me by the shirt, glaring at me with anger and fear in her eyes.

"What did you do to Ms. Fujinomiya yesterday?!"
Masamune: What do you mean?
"She has been missing for several hours. No one has heard from her!"
(YN): Okay, hold on. If we all calm down, I'm sure we ca-
"I called the apartment phone later last night AND this morning and she never responded to either! And when I came to check on her, sh wasn't there but she left all of the medications for her seizures behind. She isn't allowed to leave without them!"
Masamune: Seizures.. She suffers from them?
"How stupid can you be!? You two were that close, and you never picked up on it!? Healthy people don't talk those kinds of medications, you idiot!"
(YN): Enough! Yelling at each other won't solve anything! What do we know about where she may be?

She... Suffered from Seizures. Why didn't she tell any of us? Did she not believe that we should know? Or... No.

Maybe she hidden it all so she doesn't seem weak to us. Possibly...

Futaba: We have to find her as soon as possible!
"You, Masamune Makabae. What did you do to Lady Neko? I know you came to the apartment yesterday afternoon."

Reader's POV
Yesterday? Yoshino told me that yesterday afternoon was when he was meeting with Aki. So why was he at Neko's house?

Masamune looked the attendant in the eyes and simple stated:

Masamune: I rejected her. She kissed me, and I left after telling her that I loved Aki Adagaki to much to be with her..

The group was silent after that... until Aki herself broke the silence. As soon as she said something, something inside me just...

Ticked.

Aki: is there anyway you can track her?
(YN): No. Of course not. If she could, she wouldn't be here. She must not have her phone, though she emailed futaba just a few hours ago. She can't be to far. Especially without any medications.
Kojuro: Woah, what?

I looked to the attendant and read her tag. "Shido" was her name.

(YN): Alright. Masamune, any idea on where she may be? Any at all?

Masamune seemingly thought about it before his eyes widened in surprise.

Masamune: The school.. Our school-She is at our school!
(YN): We can get there. Shido! Take us to the school and then go back the apartment and take whatever medicine she may need!
Shido: No. I will find Lady Neko-
(YN): WE will find her. Because you are the one that can drive and with access to the inside of her apartment, you will drop us off, and while we look, you will get the pills she may need.

The group seemed stunned by my sudden assertiveness in this situation while we all went into the car and drove off to the school.

Yoshino: are you okay (YN)?
(YN): I..think so...lets just find her..

I don't know what this is but... but it feels familiar..

I don't like it...at all
