USTULATION; DEAD MAN'S PARTY (IV)

NICO STRODE AS QUICKLY as he could without looking strange through the crowds of New York at rush hour, then again it always seemed to be rush hour here so why did he care all of a sudden?

After talking to Eliza about his growing feelings for a certain brunet, and his already established feelings for a glitter obsessed warlock, Nico decided the best course of action was to get Alec to fall in love with him. Hypothetically, it did seem like a good plan but when you really think about it, the plan seems to have a multitude of flaws but Nico didn't care to realise - he was falling in love, and love makes people blind to common sense, as was the case with Nico.

Eventually Nico made it to the institute and used his prior knowledge of sneaking around to sneak his way toward the training room where he assumed Alec would be. Fortunately, his guess was right but happened to walk past Hodge who glanced fearfully at him, which caused Nico to furrow his eyebrows in confusion.

"Hey Lightwood!" Nico called out as he strode over to his brunet friend who smiled at him when he stopped next to him.

"Hey Nico. How did you escape your friend? She seemed pretty mad at you, what did you do now?" Alec grinned at the blond's offended look and attempts at protest that fell short when Nico realised that protests were useless.

"She's always mad at me, in one way or another so no need to worry about it, because for now, we're cool. Her name's Eliza by the way, you know if she ever questions you on anything, now you know at least something." Nico shrugged. "Also how the hell did you know that this happens often?" Nico stepped closer to the blond, trying to intimidate the taller man but it only got both of them blushing.

Alec grinned, "you just told me. And you're a lot like Jace, who trouble seems to follow."

Nico grimaced, "you're comparing me to your brother who hates me." He then thought about it for a moment before shrugging in agreement, "makes sense. I'm not happy with it but it makes sense. Well, apart from our preferences - he only likes girls, right?" Alec frowned but nodded annoyed all of a sudden as he thought about his first crush. "Well then, that's one of the differences between us then, he only likes girls but I like anyone, I'm not picky, you know that."

Alec's lips curved upwards slightly, knowing that he'll have a chance with the dark eyed blond. Although he didn't even know if Nico felt the same way, and Alec still felt something for Jace, which confused the brunet who wasn't used to feeling like this.

"So what did Hodge say to you? You seemed a little- I don't know you just seemed off, offended maybe." Nico changed the subject, resting against the wall to Alec's right as he stood by the weapons cabinet.
