As Mingyu stepped in he was greeted with a fusion of old fashioned in modern interior. Part of the wall painted a dark green. Old leather chairs with placed around, and Mingyu noticed a pool table in the middle of a separate side room.

Taking in his surroundings, he nodded to himself. Seungkwan, who seemed pleased with his reaction, walked into a room at the back. The semi giant sat down on one of the leather chairs, still looking around. He twiddled his thumbs in a bored sort of way, turning his gaze to the ceiling with an old looking chandelier.

Those who looked at the warehouse from the outside would not have expected what lay inside. Seungkwan came out from the room, shaking his head slightly before realising that Mingyu was still in the room.

“Seungcheol will be with you in a minute,” Seungkwan said smiling, before looking down at his phone. Mingyu, who was tall enough to see over Seungkwan’s phone, even if he was sitting down, watched as the younger scrolled through his Instagram.

“You like Monsta X too huh?” Mingyu asked as he noticed the shorter liking a post.

“Yeah I like them quite a lot actually.”

“Who’s your bias?”

Seungkwan’s eyes lit up.

“Wonho, I could actually talk about him forever. What about you?” Seungkwan asked, head coming back down from the clouds.

“Jooheon, his rap skills are out of this world.”

“Do you rap?” Seungkwan questioned.

“A little bit, you?” Kwan shook his head.

“Nah I’m a singer but I still try sometimes. Me and my friend Seokmin go to karaoke quite a lot, you should join us sometime!”

“Sure,” Mingyu replied, brushing his hair out of his eyes.

“Ahem,” a loud voice said.

The two boys turned around to see a male with longish dark grey hair, nearing on black, with a similarly coloured suit to match. He stared down at Mingyu, his eyes rather icy.

“Did I interrupt your little conversation there?” he asked cooly.

“Don’t mind Seungcheol, he’s always like this,” Seungkwan said while rolling his eyes.

A look from Seungcheol shut him up almost immediately. Mingyu stood up and bowed at the elder. Still seeming unimpressed, Seungcheol walked through a door. Mingyu assumed he was meant to follow, and that he did.

He was lead through a wooden panelled hallway with a singular vase on a table in the corner. Seungcheol showed him into a small office space, crammed in with boxes and filing cabinets.

The elder mentioned for Mingyu to sit down, and as Mingyu did so did so, he heard a soft thumping noise, presumably coming from outside. Seungcheol walked to one of the cabinets and pulled out a file, sitting down at his desk, he opened the file up. He scanned over it, leaving Mingyu to sit in silence, while staring blankly into space.

“So, you’re Kim Mingyu, born 6th of April 1997, resident of Do-bong, moved here a week ago from Anyang?”

“Yes.”

“The same Kim Mingyu that has been arrested five times for theft, violence and drug dealing?”

“Yes.”

Seungcheol looked Mingyu up and down.

“You don’t seem like the type to get involved with any of this, what are some of your strengths?”

“Mostly boxing and hand to hand combat, interrogation I guess, I’m pretty good at undercover work. Oh yeah and cooking!” Mingyu replied enthusiastically.

At the sound of food, Seungkwan poked his head through the door.

“You’re hired.”

“LeAve KwAN!”

Seungcheol focused his attention back to Mingyu.

“Undercover work hey? What kind of stuff do you specialise in that?”

“Mostly spying and infiltration, I’ve doing it since I was eleven.”

Seungcheol nodded, seeming interested.

“Okay here’s the deal,” the elder started.

“We’ll let you become a member of the Scorpions, if you agree to take on this mission for us.”

Mingyu nodded eagerly, knowing he was up to the task. Seungcheol stood up to go to the filing cabinet again, pulling out two wads of paper, before placing them on the desk.

“This,” he said, pointing at the thicker file, “This is all you need to know about the Reaper Riders. And this is what you need to know about Jeon Wonwoo.”

Mingyu opened the latter and was greeted by a picture of an attractive boy, seeming to be around his age, with sharp eyes and black hair. The file read ‘Jeon Wonwoo. Age: 22, Sex: Male, Sexuality: ??? probs gay tho,’ a scribbled note read next to the text. ‘Position: Leader, Specialises in: Unknown.’

Mingyu looked up, assuming the other pictures to be pictures or further detail into his life, seeing Seungcheol looking directly into his eyes.

“So, what is it that you want me to do?”

“I want you to infiltrate the Riders, by pretending to be a member so we can get intel on their deals ad movements."

"Get them to trust you. Better yet, get Wonwoo to fall for you.”

Jihoon opened his eyes slowly. His vision was still bleary due to whatever had knocked him out. The short boy looked around, only to be greeted by semi-darkness.

He seemed to be in a room, with concrete for its surfaces. Jihoon tried to get up but struggled immensely to do so as he was tied down to a chair.

Shit.

Having recalled the past events, he had a vague idea of what had happened.

“LET ME GO SHITHEADS!” he bellowed.

A crack of light was visible as what he assumed to be a door opened. A figure with faded blue hair walked in. Jihoon could see his slanted eyes gleaming in the absence of darkness.

“Oh god not you again.”

“Hey there Jihoonie.”
