"Baby, I'm going to the grocery store. Do you need anything?" I called upstairs to Ty.
It was late October and Ty and I had been living in our house for a little over two months. We were adjusting pretty great too. We added a new addition to our house as well. A puppy! It was a Pekingese which was a dog that didn't really get bigger and it was perfect for the house.
"No. Don't go to the store. I was to take you out tonight." he called back.
I scrunched my eyebrows together.
"Ok." I say slowly.
I sat my keys back down and walked back upstairs to our bedroom. When I got into the bedroom, Ty was laying on the bed on his phone.
"Why do you want to go out?" I asked him.
"Because we haven't been on a date since you got your new job." he responds.
I looked at him out of curiosity, but I didn't respond. I went into the closet and began to look for a dress.
It took me twenty minutes to find the right dress. It was still warm outside so I decided that I would leave my shoulders out and wear light colors that complimented my skin tone.
When I got out of the bathroom, I grabbed m purse and we walked out of the house. Once we pulled up to the restaurant, I immediately recognized it. It was the restaurant that Ty and I went to on the day that we first met. I wondered why we were coming back here. It had been almost five years since we'd been here.
"Ty, this is the first restaurant we went to." I say.
"It sure is. That was the day that we first met." he responded.
We grabbed hands and went into the restaurant. We sat at the same booth that we sat at on the day we met. I looked over at Ty and I caught him staring me. I blushed.
"What?" I asked.
"You look beautiful like always." he says.
"Thank you and you look handsome like always."
