It was a Saturday morning and I was was meeting up with Sasha to give her a copy of the menu that I had made. It consisted of ten meat choices (barbecue, fried chicken, steak, cheeseburger pie, turkey wings, cubed steak, baked chicken, fried chicken wings, barbecue ribs, and ham.) and ten sides (macaroni and cheese, rice, potato salad, green beans, cabbage, collard greens, mashed potatoes, baked beans, corn on the cob, and pasta salad.). We were going to have yeast rolls, cornbread, and biscuits. For desert, we had banana pudding, red velvet cake, the wedding cake, cookies (macadamia nut, chocolate chip, sugar, peanut butter, etc), and cupcakes. We knew that all the food wasn't going to be eaten so we were going to have carry out trays available.

All together, we were going to have 691 guest. At first we were just going to have 200, but then Ty's mom insisted that we invited more of our family members. We really didn't want to have a lot of people to be at the wedding due to the amount of attention drawn to us, plus, there is tension between some members on my mom's side of the family and Ty's friends. So, after we picked and chose our guest carefully, we ended up with 691 guest.

The venue for out wedding was going to be a ballroom that could hold 2,000 people. With the spacing of the chairs, everyone would fit perfectly. It was meant to be perfect. If anything went wrong on the day of the wedding, I was truly going to turn into a bridezilla! No one was going to mess up my day. If they did, it was going to be hell on earth.

"So, what's the venue for the reception?" Sasha asked sweeping her dark brown curls behind her shoulder.

"Well, it's going to be in the reception hall, which is down the road from where the ballroom is located. It's within the same company too." I explained.

"The wedding is a month away so we're going to need to make seat coverings. You said baby blue and lavender, right?"

"Yeah. Then, we're going to superglue the flowers on the side of each chair." I put my hair in a ponytail as Sasha typed the information into her iPad.

She blew out a sigh of relief once she finished typing. "Ok. Now, for the decorations, did you order the white roses for the sheathe thing you and Ty will be standing under?"

"Yes and I have the petals ordered too."

Sasha and I sat there discussing the wedding for about two more hours until I noticed that it was time for me to stop by the bridal shop to see how the dresses fit on my bridesmaids. My maid of honor was Kiara and my matron of honor was Shana. My bridesmaids were Melissa, Jaya, and Lala. I wanted each of them to wear the same dress, but in different shades of the themed colors. They would be lined up in order of the shade of the specific color that they were wearing as well.

When I walked into the bridal store, everyone was there waiting for me.

"Sorry, I'm late. I had to meet with Sasha to discuss some things." I apologized.

"It's okay. I got here like five minutes ago." Lala said.

She looked just like Kiara with her curvy figure and deep brown eyes.

We walked to the back of the store where they pulled out different selections of bridesmaid dresses. I was immediately attracted to the one that was sleeveless, form fitting in the chest and stomach area, and got puffy at the waist stopping right above the knee.

"I want you all to wear this one." I held up the dress.

They gasped in amazement.

"I like this dress," Melissa says. "It's not too flashy and it's not too basic."

I winked at her. "That's right. So, I want Kiara to wear the lavender one, Shana wear the purple, Melissa wear the blue, Jaya wear the baby blue, and Lala wear the light blue. That's also the order in which you will be lined up."

"Oh, it's going to match the theme of the wedding?" Jaya asked.

"Yep."

"But what color will our bouquets be?" Shana questions.

I smiled. "That's for me to know and for you to find out."

They jokingly sucked their teeth.

"Ok, Ms. Mysterious." Shana joked.

We laughed.

After they found the dresses in their sizes and color, we went to the register so I could pay for the dresses. Each dress was $88.95 so the total was $444.75 and with tax it was $449.02. That wasn't that bad for five dresses.

When I got home, Ty was in the den watching TV.

"Hey, baby." I greeted him.

He kissed me. "Hey, how was your day?"

"It was tiresome. What about yours?" I sat down on his lap.

"It was long," he kissed me. "tiresome," he kissed me. "and boring without you."

"Boring without me, you say?" I jokingly asked.

He snickered. "Yeah. I was bored."

I took my shoes off then sat Indian style in Ty's lap facing him.

"Well, I was bored without you too and I think we should have some time together." I say.

"I think that's a great idea." Ty leaned forward and kissed me.

We began to caress one another as we kissed, but just as my shirt was being lifted above my head, the doorbell rang.

I grunted. "This happens almost every time."

I got up to go and answer the door.

When I looked out of the peephole, I seen that it was Ty's parents. I opened the door.

"Good evening." I greeted them. "It's good to see you Mr. and Mrs. Johnson."

"It's good to see you too, baby. Don't be scared to claim us as your parents." Ty's mom greeted me with a warm hug.

"Good evening, 'Nesha." Ty's dad says.

I led them into the family room.

"I'm going to go and get Ty. Make yourselves comfortable. Would you like anything to drink?" I say.

"No. I'm fine sweetie." Mrs. Johnson says.

"It's a no for me as well." Mr. Johnson says.

I smiled. "Okay."

I walked into the den to get Ty.

"Who was at the door?" he asked.

"Your parents are here."

He rose out of the recliner then followed me back into the living room.

"Hey, mama." he hugged her the gave his dad a manly hug. "Hey, dad."

"I love what you all have done with this house." Mrs. Johnson complimented.

We thanked her.

Ty's parents then began to ask us about the wedding planning. We talked for a good hour and a half until his parent decided to call it a night. Then, Ty and I headed upstairs deciding that we were both too tired to finish what we started.
