I woke up this morning anxious to see what Ja had planned for me. She left two hours before I woke up so she must have left something around here saying what she had planned for me. So, I went into the bathroom to prepare myself for today.

When I looked in the bathroom mirror, as always, Ja had left lipstick on my forehead, but there was something left on the bathroom mirror. It was a sticky note. I pulled the sticky note off of the mirror and it read,

Life is what you make it.
Our lives were just destined to be together.
Love is worth feeling.
Every time you rock my world, I feel it, baby.

P.S. -Your food is already prepared. Just reheat it.

Ja had the most beautiful handwriting that I had ever seen. She was the most beautiful woman, other than my mother and grandmother, that I'd ever seen too. Just thinking about her made me rock solid and made me want to fuck the shit out of her right then.

After I freshened up in the bathroom, I went into the kitchen and found a note on the microwave. It read,

Peace, love, and happiness comes
only to those that allow themselves to be free.
When you open one of the drawers,
you will find a key.
Leave the house at 3 and drive around
the block.
Ty, please don't come back 'til 5 o'clock.

P.S. -Save the key for when you come back and,
if you come home earlier than 5,
I'll be very mad.....

Ja was making me kind of nervous with all of these poetic lines. Going on scavenger hunts weren't my thing, but, for Ja, I'd do anything.

I began to open drawers searching for the key that I was supposed to find. I had went through three drawers until I found a small, golden key. Ja was very clever. She hid the key in the drawer with the silverware and made it blend in with the spoons.

I opened the microwave and seen that Ja fixed me turkey hash, pancakes, eggs, and grits. I swear I be gaining four pounds every week from eating her cooking. She cooked just like my mama too. Soul food and full of love. I was glad that I was marrying her because she be making niggas proud with the way that she be showing her love.

After I finished eating my breakfast, it was going on twelve o'clock so I went upstairs to find some clothes to wear. I had a class today at the University of Albany. Ja didn't know that I went back to school and she didn't know that I was planning on getting out of the game. I was getting my PhD so I could become a psychologist. I planned on getting out of the game when Ja finds out that she is pregnant with our first child. It was going to be a shocker for her and my parents. The only person that knew about me going back to college was Chance. Chance had went back to school and got his GED and he was almost two years into getting his degree in accounting. My man was always one for the numbers. He got in the game before I did and it amazed me to see that he wanted to change. I guess we were changing for the better.

When I got done getting dressed, I grabbed my books from under the bed and headed out for my class.

I got home at 5:11 and Ja's car was parked in the garage. There was a note on the door in the garage that led to the kitchen, it read,
