Chapter 1-Acrimony

Acrimony- bitterness, anger, rancor, resentment, ill feeling, ill will, bad blood, animosity, hostility, enmity, antagonism, waspishness, spleen, malice, spite, spitefulness, peevishness, venom.

Robert's POV

(In the middle of the Ohio River in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania a yacht has just been stopped by its anchor and several people just came back on the yacht coming off the little boat and they run toward a man who is severely bleeding out)

Everything happened so fast I almost forgot it's almost like my life flashed before my eyes or did it? I suddenly saw this bright light that was getting brighter until I heard...

Diana: Robert!! Somebody get the first aid kit!

One of the crew members went to get the first aid kit while the others came to help me.

Crew member #1: Hold still Mr. Gayle help is on the way!

(Crew member #2 is currently on the phone with 911)

Crew member #2: Um, we currently in the middle of the Ohio river maybe 20 minutes away from Pittsburgh, please send help we have a man bleeding out.

A crew member comes back with the first aid kit and gets a bandage wrap for my leg.

Crew member #3: What the hell happened with this anchor?!

The crew members went to look at the anchor while one of them was still holding my leg to stop the bleeding. When they turned the boat engine completely off and pulled the anchor up I instantly remembered what happened.

Robert: MELINDA!!!!!

Diana: (shocked) What?!

Robert: She went down with the anchor.

When the crew members pulled the anchor up and I saw her almost lifeless body come up I immediately crawled to her.

Diana: No, Robert wait!

Robert: Leave me alone!

I pointed to one of the crew members and demanded them to...

Robert: We got to do CPR you push her stomach and I give mouth to mouth.

Diana's POV

All I could do was just stand here in shock about everything that is happening. How the hell did she get trapped by the anchor and more importantly why is Robert trying to help her? I'm not trying to be rude but this man just been shot by the woman he is trying to SAVE.

And the next thing that happened after the crew member pumped her stomach for the fifth time and Robert did one last breathe in and out I heard a sudden gasp and water being spit out with shallow breathing.

Melinda's POV

Everything was dark then I felt some pressure against my body and it was really hard and now I can open my eyes all of the sudden.

Robert: Melinda! Oh thank god you're okay thank you, lord.

Robert was just hugging me and I'm just sitting here all wet like why? Maybe he feels bad for what he did to me or maybe I'm just overreacting? I don't know what happened but I have a feeling that if I don't change the way I'm feeling lately I won't be lucky next time I was so close to drowning to death.

Diana: Stay still Robert!

Ugh, this pregnant bit- I mean woman is getting on my last nerves here I go almost drowning to death and want to be a better person but this heifer is still on her high horse only caring about herself and think she's better than everyone. What am I doing? I need to let this go but I worked so hard for this and what did they do? You know what I just need to calm down and breathe.
