I'm so sorry for the delay, guys. Everything went crazy from one thing to another especially with the Coronavirus. I have finally found time out of my busy schedule so here is the final three chapters. Anyway #Blacklivesmatter

Commemoration-a ceremony or celebration in which a person or event is remembered.

NINE MONTHS LATER

Melinda's POV~ A dream

I think the only reason I love the movie "Soul Food" is solely based on the fact that the Big Mama character reminds so much of my mom.

Angela: I'm so happy that my baby girl is getting married again!

Melinda: Mom, stop.

Angela: Oh come on honey you look beautiful in your dress. What do you think, Arthur?

Arthur: I think another big wedding is a waste of time.

Angela: No it's not I think it's great plus I have a good feeling about Anthony, I think he is the one for you, Mel.

Arthur: Me too but why did you spend your own money on this, you know how bad your spending habits are.

Angela: You know Melinda just want the best for her big day. Am I right?

Melinda: Yes you are right and besides this barely made a dent to my $10 million and my new revenue from the novel.

Angela: I'm so proud of you baby, in fact, I'm proud of all my girls and y'all success in your business.

Arthur: I'm proud of Melinda the most.

Angela: (Gasps) Arthur!

Arthur: What? I love Brenda and June too but Melinda's business took off the fastest in the first year so hey it is what it is.

Angela: (Scoffs) Whatever.

Melinda: You guys are really proud of me?

Angela: Of course we are.

Arthur: What makes you ask that?

Melinda: I just thought y'all was disappointed by my actions and how I handle things the moment I was on my own.

Angela: Nobody goes through life without issues and marriage is all about ups and downs, me and your father still going through it but it always comes down to if the person is right for you because you'll know if he is whenever something happens and you will always find a way out.

Arthur: Besides why worry about what we think? You are living your best life and we will always love you girls.

Melinda: But I just miss you guys.

Angela: And that's why we are here in your dream to tell you to don't worry we are here up in heaven watching over you.

Melinda: I love y'all.

Angela: And we love you too.

Melinda: I really wish you were here though.

(End of the dream; Melinda wakes up and a few hours later she is now married to Anthony surrounded by all their loved ones.)

(Now at the wedding reception.....)

Melinda's POV

I'm now officially Melinda Moore-Wells!!! These nine months have been.....well shit I guess you can say crazy. I can't wait for this little one to arrive because I feel so fat and hungry all the time but hey I can't complain this is what I always wanted. I do have to admit I got the strangest cravings like an ice cream float but instead of root beer I use sweet tea and not to mention French fries and whipped cream and yes I'm also putting whipped cream on my food as we speak at my wedding in front of everyone but I don't care because after these nine months everyone should know I put whipped cream on everything now.
