Resecure-to secure (something) again, to make (something) safe again.

Melinda's POV

Melinda: No I was not aware at all!

Dr. Lindsey: And this is why it's important to not work so hard and to eat for two.

Melinda: How is this possible?

Dr. Lindsey: You don't know how to get pregnant?

Melinda: Girl, I know how it happens but I'm talking about me.

Dr. Lindsey: Ok now I'm confused.

Sarah: Sorry doctor I'm sure Melinda is feeling a little hysterical right now but you have to understand when we were younger she injured herself really bad with her car.

Melinda: Yeah they told me I couldn't have kids.

Dr. Lindsey: Well tell that to the baby growing inside you.

Melinda: But I was told my ovaries were ruptured.

Dr. Lindsey: How long ago was this because you know they can grow back right? Sure they can cause some pain doing so.

Melinda: That might have been the pain I felt.

Dr. Lindsey: So what happened during this accident?

Melinda: I caught my boyfriend at that time cheating on me with another girl in his RV so I got angry and rammed my car into it tipping them over. I also threw a cement block at his car that I bought not realizing that I'm bleeding from slamming into the steering wheel and that night I was rushed to the hospital, I was internally bleeding from my stomach and they told me I needed a hysterectomy it just didn't look good for me so I never thought I could get pregnant or have children ever.

Dr. Lindsey: Ok let me stop you right there and tell you everything that is wrong with what they told you. First, you are pregnant I know that for a fact so it looks like your ovaries are in good shape and I can see slamming into RV affecting your stomach but there is no scientific way that your uterus had to be removed. Did you ever get the hysterectomy?

Melinda: I assumed so I was never awake during the procedure.

Dr. Lindsey: Do you still get your period?

Melinda: Yeah but I was told that was normal.

Dr. Lindsey: (Sigh) Melinda.

Melinda: This is crazy. Do you know about this?

Sarah: I didn't know anything, every time the doctor had something to say they always went to your sisters.

Melinda: I can't believe it I'm really pregnant.

Dr. Lindsey: Yes you are, be happy.

(Tears fall down Melinda's face)

Melinda: I am. How long have I been?

Dr. Lindsey: Six weeks.

This explains everything about why I was feeling weird and the morning sickness.

Melinda: Doc, I have borderline personality disorder that I am taking my meds for, will that affect me or the baby.

Dr. Lindsey: Oh no ma'am it will not affect you just keep doing what you are doing.

Melinda: Even when I told you what happened to my stomach?

Dr. Lindsey: Yes everything is fine nothing is wrong so don't worry.

Melinda: Ok thank you doc.

Dr. Lindsey: No problem, I'll show you the way out.
