Gone or Missing

Episode 7

"Do you ever feel weird about what we're doing?" Palutena asked.

"What do you mean?" Lucina responded.

"I mean, like," Palutena laid down on her bed while Lucina sat at her side. "We're kind of stalking those two guys... like, we don't even know if they have anything to do with this!"

"If anything, they could be drug dealers."

"True."

"But there is a possibility they have something to do with this. And we need to know that, right?"

"Right."

"Aaaanywaayyss...." Lucina laid down in front of Palutena. "Did you here that Zelda almost beat up Rosalina yesterday??"

"Wait, what?!"

"Yep. She slammed her chin onto a table."

"Hot damn."

"I know. Wish we could've been there to kick her ass, too."

The two laid in silence. Palutena just looked at Lucina and smiled at her. Lucina's eyes were closed as if she was about to fall asleep right there, but was interrupted by her phone vibrating.

Lucina quickly grabbed it.

"Who is it?"

"Robin."

"Oh." Palutena turned away and stared up at the ceiling, feeling the same rotten feeling in the pit of her stomach.

"Oh my god."

"What?"

"It's five minutes before school."

Palutena cursed under her breath as she quickly got up from the bed and rushed to her closet. She was about to changed out of her shirt before Lucina quickly commented,

"God, give me time to exit the damn room!!" She quickly walked out to her own room.

"How much detention will we get for being late??" 

"A lot."

"Aah, hurry up we gotta go!!!!"

"What up, badass?!" Lucina shouted to Zelda from across the hall.

"Sh-shutup!!" Zelda hissed, running  up to her with Link trailing behind her.

"I can't believe you got to beat that bitch up!"

"I'm honestly really jealous." Lucina commented.

"I think she has detention for like, a week, now."

Zelda, Link, Lucina, and Palutena chatted between each other for a few minutes before they heard someone yell from down the hall, "Hey guys!!"

"Hey Marth, hey Ike."

Marth brushes his hair out of his face and put a hand on his hip. "While Ike and I were walking to school we saw these creepy guys."

Pat and Luci looked at each other. 

"Really?"

"Yep. They said they were gonna meet up later today at the rustic barn or whatever." Marth continued.

"You really eavesdropped on those guys, huh?" Ike commented.

"Yeah, it's my job to eavesdrop."

"Why are they going there?" Link asked.

"I don't know, for a date, maybe?"

"Why would they go on a date, there?!"

"Maybe it's an aesthetic thing."

Lucina leaned over to Palutena and whispered, "Does this mean that we're going to visit that barn thingy?"

Palutena smiled and nodded.

"They're not here yet."

"I know."

"Shouldn't we park the car somewhere hidden so they don't see us?"

"Oh, yeah."

Palutena started the car again and backed into a small space surrounded by trees. She stopped the car and just sat.

'This could be nice' Palutena thought to herself. The surrounding of the trees, the isolation between her and Lucina. It would be a nice place to.... just be together. Alone. Just the two of them. Palutena slightly smiled at the thought of it

"Hey, Pat."

Palutena turned to Lucina.

"C'mon"

The two got out of the car and headed inside to the barn.

Once the two were inside, they just stood there, not knowing what to do.

"There's nothing upstairs."

"Yep."

"And there's nothing down here?"

"Yep— Wait..."

Lucina slowly walked over to one of the corners of the barn. She stomped her foot down, crewteinf a hollow echo under her.

The two looked at each other.

Lucina used the toe of her shoe to dig away the dirt where she stood.

"Slowly, they were able to see a metal trap-door under the dirt.

"No fucking way..."

"Yes fucking way."

Luc grabbed the handle on the door and pulled it open, revealing a spiral staircase that went down underground.

"We aren't going down there."

"Yes we are."

"I left the oven on."

"You know damn well you're lying."

Lucina hesitantly walked down the flight of stairs with Palutena following behind her. About 20 seconds passed before they finally made it at the bottom of the stairs. 

Palutena switched on the lights.

It was a white room, with an open area and a table of several binders, Lucina opened one of the binders and studied it.

"Oh my god..."

"What?"

"Tell me this doesn't sound familiar," Lucina started to read from the binder's pages. "Subject One: Female, Blonde, high schooler, hair usually up in ponytail. Subject 2: Female, short brown hair, blue eyes, high schooler..."

Lucina took a breath before finishing the list.

"And Subject 3:Male, brown hair, short, and wings."

Wings.

Palutena gasped.

"It's them."

Lucina quickly took the binder under her arm and motioned Palutena to hurry out with her.

The two sprinted up the stairs and out of the barn. They hurried to their car and quickly got in, locking the doors while doing so.

Palutena was about to turn on the engine before Lucina stopped her abruptly.

There was silence, before they heard two cars coming from both directions. The two cars stopped in front of the barn.

"It's them."

"The guys we stalk everywhere at anytime?"

"Yep."

"Oh boy this isn't gonna end well."
