Gone or Missing

Episode 8

"Luci get down!"

"Won't they be able to see us?!"

"Just stay quiet."

Palutena and Lucina quietly sat in the car as they watched two cars pull up. One of the car's doors open, and the larger man steps out. Soon after, the other one gets out.

"You coulda blown our cover!" The smaller one hissed.

"Your overreacting."

"Listen, smartass. You wanna be bad and I wanna be bad. But I, let you hang onto my line. I can cut you off easily."

"Okay, whatever you say. But I have people on my side." The bigger man fought back.

"So do I."

The smaller guy retreated back to his car, slamming the door behind him. The bigger man watched him drive away before going back to his car, too.

Both of the cars are out of sight.

"What do you think that was about?" Palutena asked.

"I dunno."

Palutena sighed and straightened her back. "Wanna take another look inside the barn? We might've missed something."

"Sure. But lets make this quick."

"You're the boss."

Roy sat, slumped over in his chair. He sat alone in one of the classroom, looking through old pictures in his phone.

He stopped at one picture.

It was of him and Daisy.

The two were at the burger joint, making silly faces at the camera. Roy felt his heart pound.

His fingers trembled over the picture as he just stared at it. 

He didn't even bother looking up when he heard the door open.

He heard footsteps walk up to him, stopping a few feet away from him. Only then, Roy looked up at the person. He groaned when he saw who it was. Just as he saw, he got up to leave.

"What were you doing in here, Roy?"

Rosalina.

"Nothing that you should worry about."

Rosalina leaned over a little, getting a good look at Roy's phone screen. Without saying anything, she snatched it from his hand.

"Ugh, wasted time with her, Roy. Wasted time."

"Excuse me??"

"You decided to spend your good time with her. You don't have to feel bad for her, you know. Daisy can handle it."

"You better keep your mouth shut, Rosalina."

"Hmmm, no thanks. Why don't you just forget about her already? She's gone."

"That's it, listen here, you dumb bitch!" 

Rosalina jumped as Roy started yelling.

"You better just keep your mouth shut from now on, because me, and a lot, and I mean a lot of people, want you to get the fuck out of our life."

Rosalina stayed silent.

"And Daisy is a much better person than you, just so you know. And what exactly do you have against her?!"

Rosalina crossed her arms and turned away.

"Do you just want to?"

Silence.
