Studying

(Movie verse)

Jay hummed nervously to himself. He was standing outside of Coles house, waiting for someone to open the door so that they could study. Coles grades were slipping pretty badly and as his boyfriend Jay felt the need to help him.

Jay buried his nose in his orange scarf, praying to himself that Coles father would not open the door. Cole was not out to his father yet, and Jay was horrible at keeping a secret. He feared that if he was around Coles father for too long something might accidentally slip out.

The door opened and Jay took a step back.

"Hello Jay, Coles in his room." Lou greeted.

"Uh t-thanks." Jay said. He walked inside and slipped his shoes off, placing them to the side. He went up the stairs towards Coles bedroom. He walked down the hallway, looking up at the family pictures adorning the wall. Jay smiled as he noticed a picture of cole as a child, sitting on a swing set with a big grin on his face. Cole had always seemed to hate that picture and Jay had always questioned why. It could be the pink overalls Cole was wearing, but Jay thought it was adorable.

Jay reached Coles door and opened it. "Hey Cole." He called out softly.

Cole was sitting on his bed, headphones over his ears and bobbing his head to the music playing through them.
He looked up and saw Jay, and slipped the headphones off. "Hey Jay, hows it going?" He smiled.

"Just wanted to see how you were doing." Jay shrugged, sitting down on the bed with him.

Cole sighed. "This better not be about schoolwork."

Jay pouted. "Please? I'll help you!" Jay begged. Cole huffed and silently nodded. Jay cheered and started to take out the books he had brought.

Two hours into the studying Cole could feel himself wanting to fall asleep. He tried desperately to pay attention to Jay talking, but couldn't help but let out a small yawn. Jay giggled. "Someone tired?" He teased.

"Yup." Cole yawned, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend. Jay blushed and stuttered trying to explain to Cole about the upcoming tests.

"Can't we just go to sleep?" Cole mumbled, scooting closer to Jay and burying his face into the smaller boys shoulder.

"Cole we have to study!" Jay whined. Cole ran his hands through jays curly hair, making jay blush harder.

"Cole..." Jay started to scold. Cole places his lips against his, shutting Jay up. Jay moaned into the kiss blushing furiously.

Cole pulled away from the kiss. "You're so cute." Cole chuckled, running a hand along Jay's cheek. Cole suddenly picked Jay up and placed him on the bed. Cole layed down and pulled him with him, wrapping Jay in a hug. "Sleep." Cole mumbled.

Jay wanted to argue but felt his eyes start to droop closed. He buried his face in Cole chest and drifted to sleep.
