"You okay baby girl?" Maxwell leaned against the doorframe of the sun room. He could tell just from her body language, she was beyond pissed.

"I'm going to be perfectly fine Maxwell, how are you?" The sarcasm was clear in her voice.

"Since you want to be such a smart ass, mind telling me what the hell is going on and why you stabbed my sister?" He asked as he sat on the porch swing with her. Maxwell turned her body so that her back was against him and her legs were up on the cushioned seat and she was comfortable.

"She deserved worse than what she got, be lucky I didn't do more damage than that."

Maxwell chuckled knowing just how serious she really was. "Well, tell me how everything went down, including who did what to both of the women who had to take trips to the emergency room."

Tanya sighed and proceeded to tell her husband what transpired and realized while looking back, they were just trying to get a reaction out of her.

"You realize what they were really doing huh?" He asked noticing her thoughtful expression. She nodded. "Then you know next time something happens, you take a step back and look at it before reacting. There will always be women -even men out there- that will do things just to get a rise out of you because they want what you have or they want you and can't have you. I don't want you doing anything to wind up in jail over some petty drama that isn't even worth it."

Tanya let his words marinate in her mind for a while. She was a mother, she didn't have time for messing around and egging on petty drama with careless people who didn't care about her or the fact that she had children to take care of. She knew she needed to be on the more mature side of the situation and decided from that moment on, she wouldn't even bat a lash when it came to his ex and his sister because she wasn't going to keep fueling the bullshit they called lives.

She sighed as she felt the babies kicking, they were getting more and more active by the day. She smiled and grabbed Maxwell's hands, guiding them over her belly and laughed when he tried to jerk away. "They can't hurt you silly."

"They don't always kick like that, do they?" He asked worried.

"I'm fine Max, they aren't hurting me. I won't be uncomfortable like you're thinking for another few months. Me and your babies are perfectly fine," she assured one last time. It was obvious, he was more nervous than he should've been but it was also because she was having more than one baby and he hadn't gotten the chance to be around her while she was so far along in her pregnancy.

"If you're ever in any type of pain, you need to tell me okay?"

"Yes Maxwell, now chill."

He sighed when he realized he'd angered her. "I apologize," he paused to make sure she was listening. "The doctor said it wouldn't be easy on either of us, especially if all I ever did was worry or be completely careless. He said I needed to monitor any pain you're in at all times."

"I know, it's mainly because of how little I seem and my body type. I can't exactly help that you decided one baby wasn't enough," she smiled.

"Ha ha," he tapped her thigh. "Did you at least finish eating?" He asked worriedly.

"Of course," she scoffed. "These are products of Maxwell Carter, leaving food unfinished is like illegal."

"I see you're just full of the jokes today huh?" He smirked at her cheesy grin. "What do you have planned for the day?"

"Nothing, sitting in the pool and relaxing."

"Well, you're going on a date with me then," he said vaguely and hopped up, carrying her along with him to their room.
