Jc pov:
I called Trevor like fifteen minutes ago! What's taking him and Sam so long? I swear, if there was another accident. As if on cue, Sam and Trevor finally get here. I give them both a hug and take a step back to examine them.
Sam looks disheveled and skinnier than ever. He won't speak. He's crying silently, probably nervous. He has bags under his eyes and he's really pale. It seems as if he's a zombie, with a look in his eyes that's pleading for help.
Next, I examine Trevor. He's not any better. He also has bags under his eyes, but he probably weighs more than Sam. You can tell he hasn't been doing well. Hell, none of us have. After about a minute of silence, I decide to fill them in on everything.
Jc: Well, Connor's in surgery, and he's doing well. Ricky's alive and he woke up, but you can tell that he's doing worse than any of us. Kian... he moved his foot, so that's a start! But, he's still in a coma. Ricky loves him so much. I'm not exactly sure what we'll do if Kian dies.
Trevor only nods while Sam just stands there. He looks so broken.
Jc: Sam, I need to talk to you really quick... alone.
I practically drag Sam into a nearby hallway. I need to convince him to eat. And I just want to hear his voice. I haven't heard it in so long, and I miss it.
Jc: Let's go eat. You need it. How much do you weigh?
Sam: 48 pounds.
He answers so quietly that I can barely hear his voice. But really though. 48 pounds?! It amazing how badly someone can get hurt by someone else. I lead Sam to the food court. He looks confused when he sees that they know my name.
Cashier: Hey Jc! How are the guys?
Jc: They're fine, thanks.
We order the food and sit down. Sam pushes his food around on his plate and looks at me through his eyelashes.
Jc: Please, Sam.
He looks surprised at my sudden choice of words, but I shake it off. He needs to eat.
Jc: Eat.
Sam reluctantly reached out and grabbed his fork. He picked up a forkful of food and shoveled it into his mouth. And then another and another. And soon, he finished his entire plate of food. I couldn't be more proud of someone.
Jc: Thank you.
Sam: Actually, thank you.
This was the first time he actually spoke to me all day.
Sam: As you know, I'm way too skinny for my own good. I needed this. Thank you, buddy.
I smiled to myself and we both stood up and walked to Ricky's room. He was crying, as usual. He cried every day. He won't even speak to us, really. Just silent tears as we watch him cry.
We fill him in on Kian and Connor. His eyes light up when he realizes that Kian is trying to wake up and that Connor will most likely be okay. But soon, they go back to tears for Kian.
He really does love him. You can tell by the broken look in his eyes. But he knows that there is still hope for them. Unless Kian forgets stuff. That would be his breaking point.
Ricky: Can I see him? I'm allowed to go anywhere as long as there's someone with me.
I'm amazed at how broken a person can sound. But I nod and get a wheel chair for him to sit in. Ricky's only still in the hospital because he's depressed. But, he's worse than Sam.
Soon, we get to Kian's room, and Ricky breaks down. Full-on sobbing, I mean. He's never been this bad. Maybe one of those weird flashback things Trevor told us about? I don't know.
After Ricky calms down, he wheels over to Kian's side. He looks at us and asks us if he can have alone-time with Kian. We only nod, and let him be.
