"Um guys, it's getting late, I gotta go somewhere with my family tomorrow so I'm gonna head home now" laur says getting up from the pink bean bag. Shawn offers to take her home but she said it was fine.
After they say their goodbyes shawn checks his watch; 11:05, this wasn't late for them at all, well for Nicole and Shawn. And tomorrow is the third of July, which was the day Nicole was born. She never wanted people to care or anything, it was just Nicole.
She thought everyone, including Shawn forgot about it one year, and everyone did, but Shawn, he never forgot and that was the best birthday present she would get every year.

Nicole tries to quietly close the front door, but fails, it creaks so loud it wakes up her dog.
Shawn bursts out into laughter trying to take in the moment, and falls to the ground continuing to laugh
"Shawn, shhh"
"Nic, you should've seen your face, it- it it was priceless" he's manages to say
She smiles at him as her cheeks flush, Shawn surprises her by swooping her up by the waist and carrying her up the stairs.
"You are crazy Shawn, you know that" "I'm only crazy when I'm with you" 'true' Nicole thought. She missed him more than he could've ever have known, and Shawn felt the same
"Shawn, can I say something"
"Yes" "ok so it has been the worst couple of weeks without you, I've missed you so freakin much I was starting to actually think of doing something again that I shouldn't do, I was jealous of Laur and everything you have done with her, I know I should not be jealous cuz I have known you longer, I just thought you would forget about me, your the most important thing in my life n I couldn't ask for a better friend n I know this all sound retarted but I I just don't want to loose you" Nicole takes a breath after saying that
"nicole", he begins taking a hold of her hand, "out of everyone in the world, why would i forget about you?" "I- I dont know" "well I honestly felt the same, like Laur was trying to keep me away from you for some reason, so I thought you were gonna forget about me too"
"she told me that you hated me and to stay away, I dont care anymore as long as we're friends again" nicole lets out a sigh
"yup and I am going to make new friends, everyone does and the drama will start and the drama will end but please remember I will not forget about you and everything we had"
"ok" she sort of fake smiles, she tends on doing that a lot.
"yup and you still have pretty eyes babe" shawn winks gazing down at Nicole
Nicole felt the butterflies in her stomach and said "lol Shawn remember last time"
"I remember that day perfectly, Nicole, why would I ever forget that"
"uh I'll be right back" Nicole zooms down the stairs and leaves Shawn up there alone and confused, he thought why did she just leave right when things were getting serious.
After what seems like forever Shawn gets up and walks down the stairs to look for his friend
"what are you doing?" "Oh Shawn you scared me, don't do that"
"Well can you tell me what you are doing, it's almost midnight
"Im craving something sweet"
"well what about this"
Shawn takes Nicole's hands and locks them together with his and leans in until theres no space between the two, he then kisses her lips, Nicole kisses back and for about a minute, she felt the best feeling in the world. And so did he.
As they separate Shawn lets out a breath and smiles "happy birthday" Nicole doesn't say anything, all she does is hug him tightly.
"Thank you so much Shawn" that was very sweet Nicole said to herself
"I love you Nicole" "I love you too"
