Falling from the darkness (Naruto Fanfic. Sasuke x Naruko)

Enemy, or Friend...

Naruko sat in a small cafe with Kiba, she had to ask if something happened between them. "Kiba," Naruko trailed off adverting her eyes from him. "Yeah?" He asked raising an eyebrow. "Did, did something happen, between us, two years ago?" Kiba's eyes widened for a second then retured to normal. "Yeah, actually, we were dating." Kiba then leaned over the table and pressed his lips to hers. Naruko pushed him away, he looked hurt. "I'm sorry, I have to go." She jumped up and ran out of the cafe, down the street and into the apartment. "Did Kiba take my first kiss?" Naruko questioned herself quietly, seeing no sign of her brother or the Uchiha she walked over to the room Sasuke said they could share. She knocked then opened the door to reveal the Uchiha passed out on his desk wearing his glasses with a thing of half eaten tomato ramen beside him. "Your such a baka." She said with a smile as she pressed a gentle kiss to his forehead. Naruko quickly changed then hopped into bed, she didn't want to wake the sleeping Uchiha, mostly in fear for her life.

Naruko tossed and turned in her sleep, images of her and Kiba, them arguing, multiple times where blood dripped from her arm. Then him and Hinata, but it wasn't just at the party, them at school, behind bleachers, when they passed each other in the hall. She had no happy memories of them, she knew that everything she saw was real, even if she couldn't remember, and she didn't want to blame Hinata, the only person she wanted to blame was Kiba, but she only saw glimpses of them, so she didn't know for sure.

Sasuke woke up to the sound of crying. He looked around to see Baruko curled up in a ball, her eyes tightly closed as she wrapped her arms around herself. Sasuke stood up and sat on the bed, gently placing a hand on the crying girls shoulder then shaking her. "Naruko, Naruko what's wrong?" The blonde opened her blue eyes, tears still running down her face. "D-Did something happen between me and Kiba?" Sasuke looked at her shocked but nodded his head. "H-He cheated on me, d-didn't he?" Naruko looked into the black eyes that looked down at her, she didn't know what drove her to do so, but she didn't care. Naruko pressed her lips to his as she wrapped her arms around his neck. Sasuke was brought back to the time when she first kissed him, but he still kissed back, he still wrapped his arms around her waist as he pulled her closer. "I'm sorry." Naruko said pulling away and resting her head on his shoulder. "How was your date with Kiba?" Sasuke asked as he moved farther onto the bed, sitting with his back against the headboard, keeping his arms wrapped around her waist as she kept her head on his shoulder while silent tears ran down her face. "We talked, then he said that we dated, then he kissed me and I left." Sasuke's grip tightened around Naruko as she looked back up at him, he moved his hands to her face as he wiped away her tears. "Then why are you crying." Always count on Sasuke to have a heartless moment. Naruko continued to look at him, almost as if she was studying his face. "I-I remembered some stuff, not much, but it was enough to know what drove me to, uh..." She slowly trailed off as Sasuke dropped his hands to her waist. "Kiba wasn't you first kiss." Sasuke said out of nowhere and Naruko just continued looking at him. "W-Who was then?" "Me." Sasuke pressed his lips to hers, once Naruko realized what was going on she quickly kissed back. They both pulled away panting. "Okay, I'm tired." Naruko said as she removed her arms from around Sasuke's neck then laid down. "Really, no question as to why I did that, no yelling, no hitting?" Sasuke just stared down at the blonde haired girl he now shared a bed with. Sasuke turned so his back was facing her and just glared at the wall. "What did you feel, when I was in the hospital." Naruko slowly whispered, at her voice Sasuke turned around and wrapped an arm around her torso and his head at the back of her neck. "Scared, mostly because Naruto wasn't eating ramen so I thought it was the end of the world, but I was scared that you wouldn't wake up." Naruko felt his breath down the back of her neck. "Gaara said that you three took turns staying with me." "Yeah, Naruto said that if you didn't wake up he would stop eating ramen." The two laid in silence and soon fell asleep.

~School~

Naruko sat beside Hinata in the middle row of their math class. Sasuke sat in the front row with his fan girls around him, Sakura and Ino on either side. The bell chimed saying it was time for lunch, Sasuke stood up, passing Naruko who he smirked at. Naruko blushed remembering the night before and turned her head away, Hinata noticed and gently poked her friend. "N-Naru-chan, did something happen between you two?" Naruko's face turned red and she hurried it in her hands. "No, why would you say that?" She said shaking her head furiously. Hinata giggled at her friends antics and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Lets go eat." Naruko followed Hinata out of the class room and towards the cafeteria, only to bump into someone on her way there. "Gomenasei." Naruko said bowing not looking up at who she bumped into. "Gomen Sai-kun." Hinata said as Naruko stood up straight. "Uh, Hina-chan, who's this?" Naruko asked puzzled as she starred and the unfamiliar face in front of her. "Naruko, Sai, Sai transferred her last year, while you were away." Hinata said to Naruko as they walked away from Sai, who had started walking away first. "He seems...." Naruko paused for a moment to think of the right word when Hinata chimmed in. "F-Friendly?" They both started laughing continuing on their way. "Naruko, Naruko, NARUKO!" Naruto yelled running towards his sister. "Help me, Sakura is trying to kill me!" Naruto wrapped his arms around her shoulders and hid behind her. "W-What did you do?" Hinata asked looking for the angry Sakura. "I accidentaly ate the lunch she made for Sasuke, then I spilt strawberry yogurt on her new uniform." Just then said bubblegummed haired girl stormed down the hallway. "NARUTO, GET BACK HERE!!!!!"  Naruto then ran away with Sakura following him, Naruko and Hinata enjoyed the rest of their day without wondering what happened to the poor, poor Naruto.
