Teen Wolf - The Bite

15 - "I'm the Alpha now."

I wake up on the operating table of Scott's boss, Deaton. "Where- What is-" I stumble. "Stop!" I say as I see him touching my stomache. "It's all right, Rose. You're gonna be all right." He says and I gasp for air as I try to get up, but can't. "I wouldn't get up just yet." He tells me. "How did I -" 

"You're fine. And I've given you something that should... speed up the healing process." He says and I widen my eyes. "But you're a vet." I say. "That's very true - and 90% of the time, I'm mostly treating cats and dogs." He says as I raise an eyebrow. "Mostly?" "Mostly." I hear him say right before I black out again.

"Welcome back to the land of the conscious. You doing okay? Maybe you shoud shit down, huh?" He says as I fall when I get up, and so I do. I hear the front door open, as Deaton walks into the entry of the clinic. "I'm sorry but we're closed." He says. "Hi there. I'm here to pick up." Peter. "I'm not sure I remember you dropping off." Deaton says. "This one wandered in on its own." I'm not sure I did actually, Peter. "Even if he did, I'm afraid I can't help you - we're closed." Deaton tells him. "Well, I thimk you can make an exeption this one time - don't you?" Peter says. "I'm sorry, that's not going to be possible. Maybe you could come back during regular hours." Deaton says. 

"You have something of mine. I'm here to collect it." Peters keeps pushing. "Like I said, we're closed." I glance around the corner, to see Peter try and enter, but being stopped by an invisible boundary. "Mountain Ash. That's an old one." Peter says with a smirk. "Let me be as clear as possible. We - are - closed." Deaton says again.

"There are others who can help me get what I went, Rose. More innocent - and far more vulnerable." Peter whispers. "Allison." I say under my breath.  Peter dissapears, and Deaton comes back to me. "How do you know." I say as I sit down on a chair. "I have a long, deep past with the Hale's. I was their doctor, advisor, whatever you want to call it." He says and I frown. "Derek doesn't know, does he?" I ask him, and he shakes his head. 

"Fuck! Derek!" I say as I gasp for air. "I'll spare you the trouble - the hunters have him, but you probably already figured that out by yourself." He says and I nod as I bite my lip. "Here's what I took out of you. Wolfsbane bullets." He says and I sigh. "Do they already know it's you?" He asks me, and I shrug my shoulders. "I think they suspect. Kate saw me changed, so they know the other Beta is a girl, and when I was at their house the other day they asked me all those weird questions, about Derek as well." I say and Deaton nods. 

"You have to be even more careful, Rose. Try not to be seen in public with Derek anymore, the same for Scott. Argents got eyes everywhere. If they suspect it's you, they will never leave you alone, untill they know for sure." He says and I nod. "Thanks, Doc." I say and we both laugh a little. "If there's every anything I can do, you know where to come, right? there's a safe place here." He says and I nod. "I appreciate it." I say with a smile. "Thanks for everything." I say right before heading out.

I walk into Scott's room, where he is lying under his bed, searching for his phone. I called him on my way here to tell him everything. "It's not here. Okay, so you lost your phone, why don't you just get a new one?" Stiles says. "I can't afford a new one. And we can't do this alone. We have to find Derek." Scott says as I cross my arms in front of my chest and lean against the wall. "Tell me about it." I say with a sigh. 

"Well, 'A', you guys are not alone, you have me. And 'B', didn't you say Derek walked into gunfire? He sounds pretty dead." Stiles says. "Argent's plan is to use him to get to the Alpha - they're not gonna kill him. They need him alive." I say. "All right, so then just let them do what they're planning, you know? They use Derek to get Peter - problem solved." Stiles says, and I shake my head.
