Smile For Me

Chapter 3

Me - everything alright over there?
Ivan looked over at me then back at Emilio. He whispered again in his ear but quickly. Emilio nodded and then looked at me. I noticed the front door was still open and snow began to come inside so I shut the door and walked over to them both.
Me - why where you... like, whispering?
Ivan looked over at Emilio. Emilio suddenly seemed to gain the confidence and he just rolled his eyes and laughed. Ivan shoved him.
Emilio - don't worry about it.
I wanted answers so I went to speak but then my little sister burst out of the kitchen.
Layla - I want some hot chocolate!
She narrowed her eyebrows at Ivan and Emilio then looked at me.
Layla - who are they!? What are they doing here!?
Me - Layla... ugh, they're my friends.
Sometimes I hated my sister. She was a mean and demanding little cow but I knew she would do it on purpose like all sisters do.
Layla - they can have a chocolate too?
She smiled before running back into the kitchen. I turned to Ivan and Emilio.
Me - sorry. She's quite annoying.
Ivan - don't worry.
I smiled slightly. Ivan then finished his sentence.
Ivan - I understand.
He gave Emilio a dirty look. I could see the hurt just by the look on Emilios face.
Me - um, anyway. Do you both want a warm drink?
Ivan - yeah we'll have a warm drink, please.
I smiled and walked into the kitchen to find Layla stood on the counter looking through the cupboards I ran over and picked her up putting her down. She turned and looked at me.
Layla - I bet mummy and daddy don't know your friends are here.
She smiled at me cheekily.
Me - well, thanks for reminding me!

I ran out the kitchen.
Me - help yourselves to a warm drink my sister will help you I just need to do something.
I rushed upstairs before they could answer. I ran into my room and grabbed my phone and messaged my mum.
Me - mum I have some friends over. Xx
Mum - ok, what ones? Xx
My mum had always been picky over which friends I have at my house.
Me - you know the new people who moved in the other day? Xx
Mum - you seriously have them over!? They're gonna judge us! Plus I've heard very bad things about them! X
Me - it's only the two boys that live there. Their parents are out. Xx
Mum - ok, but be careful! Xx
Me - thanks, mum. Xx
I put my phone in my hoodie pocket and decided to put my hair up in a messy bun. I then headed downstairs to hear arguing and shouting. I ran into the kitchen to see Ivan holding a knife to Emilios chest and Layla petrified in the corner crying.
