After the engagement things settled down. It's agreed upon that we wait a year before starting to plan it, but it's a commitment nonetheless. It's everything I've ever wanted. It's odd in a way how someone can make you feel whole in ways you didn't think existed.
I sit inside the back of a limo on my way to my new beginning. The one where I walk in to the office of the publishing company and demand they let me tell my story. I'm not controlled by anyone anymore, I'm free and I'm worth it.
