Road Trip

The Resort

The people who rented us the van also gave us a healthy supply of food for our long trip down to Vila Galé Cumbuco the first resort we will be staying at. It's in the most southern part or Brazil but it's right in the Atlantic Ocean and by in I mean the bungalow that we are all sharing is out in the water!

We are all super excited to get there and just relax for a few days but after that we will really start the road trip. From the bottom to the top.

I should probably explain the van. It's white on top and orange on bottom. A classic VW van. The front of the van is like a normal bus with separate seats and a driver and passenger. There is a bed that wraps around the back of the van that can also turn into a table and sitting area. There are also cabinets along the top to store things like our bags or food. It's actually quite spacious.

After we all got into the Van and packed it up we all piled in and started the drive. A couple months ago I got my drivers license so that I would be able to drive the van on this trip.

"I think we should call it The Voyager." Drew said. Death bobbed his head next to him like a bobble head.

"Sure. That's cute." I said. Smiling at him he beamed at me.

"I'll drive first." Dom said.

Most of the ride we sang songs and spoke to each other in Spanish for fun. We all knew a pretty good amount of Spanish. The twins even studied super hard and got into an advanced Spanish class just for this trip.

{Four Hours Later}

It is about 5:15 and we finally arrived at the resort. I parked the car and turned off the engine. Everyone was sleeping and being me I was wide awake so they made me drive the last hour and a half.

I looked to my right and saw Max completely knocked out. He sleeps like an angle. Cutie.

I decided to go get us checked in and just let the boys sleep. As I opened the door a cool breeze hit me and a little bell rang above my head.

"Hi. My name is Beatrice O'Donnell." I said to the girl behind the desk. She smiled sweetly and typed something into the computer.

"Your bungalow is number twenty five with three beds, one half bath and one full bath." She said handing me two sets of keys. I nodded and smiled as I took the keys.

"Thank you!" I said as I left the desk. When I got back to The Voyager everyone was still asleep. I opened the passenger side door and looked at Max. He's just so attractive. I got on my tippy toes and kissed his cheek. He leaned into me but still didn't wake up.

"Max?" I said. I shook his leg a little. "Max we're here." I tried nudging his arm. Wow he was out. The twins and Dom were starting to wake up too. They laughed when they saw me trying to wake him up and failing.

"Max." I stroked the side of his face and he smiled. "You faker!" I yelled. He started laughing and pulled me into a hug. Dom and the twins finally got out of the car and began to get the bags out.

"You didn't try that hard." Max said as he grabbed his bag and handed me mine.

"Well I've never had to wake you up when you sleep because you are always up before me." I said laughing to myself. He laughed and agreed. "Okay we're number twenty five." I said and lead the way towards the bungalows.

We had to walk through a little garden full of trees and flowers. Then it opened up to a beach and a board walk out over the water where the bungalows were on stilts. It was all set back into a cove surrounded by a huge rock cliff.

"Whoa." We all said in unison. We began walking and checking the signs. 10-15 no. 16-21 no. 22-25 yes! We turned and headed down the board walk. Twenty five was last which meantime got a really nice view of the water. It was so blue.

I took out the keys and unlocked the door. They already had the air conditioning running and everything was clean and made up. We walked in and put our bags in the first room. It was a sitting area with a huge couch and a TV. There was a window to the right that looked out over the water.

I wandered farther into the bungalow and found the bathrooms. They faced each other. Then a little farther down there were three doors. I opened the first and found a small bedroom with a nice view of the water.

"I'm claiming this one!" Dom yelled. I laughed and shook my head. Moving on to the next door I opened it and found a bedroom a lot like the first.

"Hey twinies. Do you want this room?" I asked the twins. They came in and looked.

"Yeah sure." They said in unison.

Once everyone was settled in and Max and I had our room we all decided to walk around and see what we could do here. Max and I held hands as Dom and the twins walked farther ahead of us. 

"Are you excited to be here?" Max asked me. I watched our feet moving in unison. 

"Of course." I said smiling. He tilted my chin up and smiled. 

"There now I can see your face." He said. He pecked my lips and I blushed. He's always doing this kind of stuff to me. 

The twins had found a merry go round and wanted to ride it so we all got on. 

The rest of the night we spent wandering around on the beach. Max was being really romantic and I enjoyed every second of it.
