"Max what do I do?" I cried. He looked bewildered for a moment before he began pacing back and forth in our bed room.
"When you're in heat every other male wolf out there is going to want you. Technically they can't because I'm and Alpha and you're mine." His eyes got dark when he said 'mine' but faded back to their happy green color after a second. "But since we are way out of our territory we don't have much say in what happens." He continued to pace around and talk. "Our plane leaves in two hours. It takes forty minuets to get to the airport from here and while we're there we have to keep a watch out for other wolves. Gaaa! This is so complicated." He messed up his hair and threw his arms into the air.
"Max?" I asked quietly. "I'm scared." I said even quieter. His face softened and he came and sat by me.
"I don't want to risk touching you too much right now because Kira and Tuck are sensitive to each other right now." He said looking at me sadly. I nodded sadly as tears began to well up in my eyes. "I'll go get Dom. He's not affected by your heat because you have a family bond." Max said as he rushed out to go find Dom. Even though he wanted to touch me and comfort me he knew the best thing to do was to get Dom. Most girls are with their family when this happens and they all help her through it.
"Hey Bea." Dom said as he pushed open the door. Max didn't follow and I assume it's because he doesn't want to do something stupid around me right now. Dom came and sat next to me and handed me a box of tissues. I laughed a little.
"Thanks." I said in a stuffy tone. I wiped my nose and leaned my head on his shoulder. We sat in that position for thirty minuets until Max came back.
When Max walked in he saw us sitting together and used tissues scattered around our feet and on the bed. Only a few made it into the trash can.
"It's time to pack up our stuff." He said quietly. Dom and I broke apart and I began to pack my suit case. Max helped me and was careful not to touch me to much. The times when our hands would brush together sent tingles all the way down to my toes. He made me smile without even saying a word.
"Okay. I'm ready!" Dom said. "The twins are packed and in the car." Dom said as he grabbed my bag. Max grabbed his and lead the way to the car. When I got out there the twins were looking anywhere but me. They knew what was happening and they knew better than to mess with their older brothers mate.
"Sorry guys." I said sadly to them as I got into the van. They just sook their heads and continued looking at the non moving scenery.
We got to the tiny airport and got all of our crap onto a luggage cart. They had a one way flight straight back home that Max had snatched while looking for flights. We went though security and everything without seeing a single werewolf.
"No signs of anyone that wants to take Bea so far." Seth said making Max growl. He shut his mouth but smiled at me.
"Zone three may now start boarding the plane." The flight attendant said. We all got our backpacks and tickets and headed to the tunnel where we got on the plane. The flight attendant named Pam scanned our tickets. As I got onto the plane the first thing I began to smell was another werewolf. I couldn't tell if it was male or female but I began to get very anxious.
Do you guys smell that? I asked the boys.
Yeah. I can't tell if it's a male or female. I think they are wearing perfume or cologne. Max said brushing my neck with his hand. I loved it when he briefly touched me somewhere.
Just find your seat and then we'll take care of the other wolf. Dom said to me. I nodded and kept walking. The sent got stronger as I walked closer to my seat.
When I got to my seat I was shocked to see and girl sitting next to where Max and I will sit. She looked about 12 and she was the only other wolf on this plane. She didn't reek like a rogue but she smelt different.
"Hi." She said looking at me. "Heat?" she asked lowering her voice. I nodded too shocked to say anything. "Have a seat!" She said giving me a warm smile. I sat in the middle and Max sat near the aisle.
"So what's your name?" The girl asked.
"My name is Bea and that's Max." I said pointing at myself and then Max.
"Hi nice to meet you! my name is Rose." She said holding out her hand. I took it and she smiled.
"How old are you?" I asked. She looked like she knew that question was coming.
"I'm 17. Everyone assumes I'm 12." She said dryly. I nodded as a small smile formed on my lips.
"That's what I thought the first time I saw you. When you asked if I was in heat I was really shocked that a young girl knew what someone in heat smelled and looked like." I said to her. She laughed a little and nodded.
"I find it funny how many different stories people come up with about the first time they see me and I say something really mature." We both laughed together. Max had been brushing the palm of my hand every so often and was now holding my hand. I looked at our intwined fingers and then to him. He had his head leaned back and his eyes closed. I couldn't help but want to kiss his jaw and bite his lips but I turned towards Rose and shook those thoughts away.
"So you've found your mate?" I asked. She nodded her head.
"Yes! I'm actually moving up there today to live with him. He is a beta." She said excitedly. Well Max is an Alpha.
"Really? Where?" I asked instead.
"Utah." She replied looking very proud.
"That sounds so exciting!" I said. The plane began to move before we could continue our conversation. As we rose into the air I could tell this plane ride would be great as long as I didn't think about making mini Max's.
