Shawn and I have been secretly dating for two years already. I understand that Shawn has kept our relationship private since all the hate he's received just by hanging out with girls.

It was the VMAs today and we were finally going to show our relationship.

Shawn got ready while these girls did my makeup and hair.

"You look beautiful (y/n)!" said the hairdresser

"Thank you um?"

"Marcel! And no problem," said Marcel

"So I'm new to all of this. Do I pick my dress or?"

"We have a rack of dresses we thought would look good to you." responded the girl who was applying highlight to my face.

I nodded, "Thank you, ladies!"

I slipped on the dress and looked in the mirror, "Whoa."

"Yeah whoa," said Shawn from behind me

I turned around and looked at his suit, it was dark blue slash dark green.

"Oh my god, we matched without knowing," I said smiling.

Shawn grabbed me by my hips and stared me deeply into my eyes, "I love you (y/n). I'm glad we're finally showing our relationship off."

"I love you too baby. And I'm actually scared."

"Don't be. My security will be with us the whole time," responded Shawn

I hold hands with Shawn as cameras flashed at us.

"Shawn is this your girlfriend!?" asked a paparazzi

Shawn nodded and smiled, "This is (y/n). She's my wonderful girlfriend."

I smiled and waved to the cameras.

Suddenly Shawn slowly walked away and left me alone to pose.

I started getting used to it and took some pictures, finally, I got tired and walked towards Shawn.

"That was actually fun."

It was time for me to announce the winner for "Best Pop Singer of 2018"

"This year has been filled with many talented singers! Here are the nominees."

The cameras zoomed into the big screen announcing the singers.

"Now let's see who wins this title..." I said while opening the sealed envelope, "Shawn Mendes!"

The crowd cheered and I clapped, Shawn walked up to the stairs and I gave him the award with a kiss on the lips.

Everyone started cheering, some stared at us in shock.

We sat down for an interview and I smiled at the guy.

"So tell us (y/n) how was it hiding from something you wanted to share?" asked the interviewer

"Well it wasn't easy but I'm glad we finally "came out," I said airing quotations

"And you Shawn, how why did you do all this hiding?"

"Well, I didn't want her to get hate you know? I love her a lot and I wanted the best for us," said Shawn

I started tearing up, "S-sorry."

"No, no. Don't be sorry!" said the interviewer

After hours of showing ourselves off, we decided to go home and rest.

"Shawn I love you so much."
